The six months I lived in a kibbutz, in 1989, were the best time of my life. What a wonderful climate, food, work, people, culture, everything. God Bless and Protect Israel, specially Kibbutz Ein Dor.

I sorely miss Kibbutz Ein Dor eucalyptus and pine trees' wonderful smell, friendly environment and the BEST food I ate in my whole 47 years of life, I kid you not. My experience could've been even better if only I had learnt Hebrew. It'd be a game-changing development for me.

The kibbutz was born out of necessity. It took groups of people to reclaim land, bring food out of the land and to protect what they had built. Amazing what these early Israeli pioneers did. God bless Israel from the USA

Every tree starts out very small seed. Then it dies and the transformation becomes shade and fruit for many ,many hungry people. I was one of them. Thank you. It was my pleasure.

The documentary is one-sided and does not show the kibbutzim which have maintained the kibbutz way of life. There are about seventy of them. I visited Bar-Am a few years ago and you can still feel the kibbutz atmosphere. It was and is amazing. Why not make a documentary about kibbutzim which have maintained the kibbutz way of life?

It's actually more efficient way of living. It's small enough that people feel like that are part of it. Big enough to create huge efficiency. Buying 500 apples is cheaper than buy 1 apple yourself. Funding provided when start a business with help and expertise around and small enough that everyone give a shit. Hard to corrupt when u only have several hundred people and you see them everyday.

This is the beauty of a co-operative. You are all in it together and everyone gains or loses equally through their talents and efforts.
When the kibbutzim started, they were more or less self-sufficient: orchards and animal husbandry. Each couple received a room and the children were raised apart, all together, and the parents saw them in the evenings.
It was an idealised life, which I would love to re-live.

It would have definitely have appealed to me. And look at the result of all that hard work. The land has come alive again, Israel is a beautiful place.
