just repeating what i posted in another reaction hehe: i think the simplest way to put it is a member is shown as struggling/going thru something but they have another member or the members help them out of it. like hoshi is depressed/unhappy even while in a crowd full of people, vernon going through a break up, woozi going thru grief/a loss etc. that's besides all the theories about what the MV can be about like the ones saying the plot can be like Elite series or the movie I Origins, etc

The way I interpreted it is that they all have their own problems going on in the background, so they’re keeping their eyes on each other to make sure they’re okay. Like DK seemed to be crying at one point but Seunkwan was there to comfort him. Or how Woozi looked fine at the club but he was still getting over a dear one’s death and Joshua noticed it because he was keeping his eyes on Woozi (and I totally agree with Simon that it should’ve been a kiss). So I think it’s about them reassuring each other that “I’ll look out for you and you look out for me.” Still no clue what’s up with Scoups and Mingyu tho lmao

I've created my own narrative for this mv in my head. Jun is the token straight out of the group. Minghao and Jeonghan are partners in crime with emphasis on the partners. Minghao ran Mingyu over with his car. Mingyu is dead but also not (?) Dino was waiting patiently for Vernon to get broken up with before he swooped in. Seungkwan helped Dk out of some sort of sadness. And the rest were vibing at the gay club.
During the watching the mv Scoups says Mingyus not dead cause members were confused too. I think it's meant to be that the dancing is Scoups remembering that Mingyu might have died and Woozi was at a funeral nothing to do with Mingyu. There's also been thoughts that it's similar to an eye korean movie where it's all about multiple lives and living past death.
This video is Seventeen having a rooftop party and having too many spirits, drunk seventeen then got into episodes of unpleasantries which carried over to a romp at a gay club to escape their sorrows. Mingyu tried to ride his scooter home and left without telling S.coups. scoups ran after and found him hit. But he survived. What the camera didn't show was the funeral was actually Woozi's dead uncle of the morning, before the party. Woozi got to escape that heartache and thru a new rooftop party the next day and that's where you see Mingyu re-emerge to shake off his cuts, bruises, concussion, and broken ribs for a happier time with his crew. Ultimately the boys are showing us that as long as they have eachother they can face anything and everything and come out okay.
if you watch the behind the scenes, the funeral scene was linked to woozi. he's grieving someone. whether that's mingyu or not, no one knows lol. i think the mingyu-scoups storyline is just coups looking out for mingyu and rushing to him/being there when he got into an accident. i was so confused too when i watched it the first time. but after watching multiple times, it's really not as complicated as we thought it was
