Short answer... I almost never get flats, I ride on smooth roads, non tubeless tires are fairly easy to install, the price of TPU tubes have come down quite a bit, they are light and does not make a mess, all you need is a decent pump. (no need for co2 cartridges, tape, valve stem, sealant to maintain or replenish) If getting flats becomes an issue.. then Ill make the jump.. but right now it is not. (BTW I have tried tubeless, with almost zero flats in a year.. running inner tubes is cheaper and less work imo)
Got you bro. Your choice to stick with tubes is based on your reality. Swerte din hehe. Just always bring your tire fix kit. Ingat!
Tubeless for peace of mind. Punctures due to bubog, stapler, etc… kaya ng sealant at nakaka uwi pa ako ng bahay. Use branded sealant I suggest 😉
Yes branded mas mahaba ang bisa. Some cheap ones dry up in weeks. Cheers
Tubeless FTW!!! Saved me from 3 or 4 pinch flats last A600 dahil sa lubak. Will continue to persuade my ride buddies to transition to tubeless for LU1300. Cheers bud!
Way to go man. Always ride safe!
Tried both tubes and tubeless. Tubes with sealant is the most reliable setup for me especially for road bikes. Best of both.
Tubes with sealant? Hmmm havent heard of that before. Im super curious. Ride safe!
Some tubes like maxxis, conti or vittoria have removable valves. Just put sealant inside like a tubeless top up.
I went tubeless sa gravel bike ko when I joined my first gravel race sa Nueva Ecija. I never looked back - I kept refilling it with sealant every three months since then. When I got my road bike, I got hesitant kasi me nakita akong video na humiwalay yung tire sa rims so nagkalat ng sealant. Ganon din yung nangyari sa kilala ko noong sumali siya ng Audax last December - although I think the problem there naman is masyado mataas yung tire pressure na pinasok sa gulong nya, more than the prescribed by the tire and wheel manufacturer.
I have not decided yet (i.e. ipon ipon muna pampili ng TR tires)
Yes bro, i saw an old post din na lumabas sa rim yung goma. Korek, resulta ng maling spec. Either wrong pressure or the tire isnt hookless comp (kung hookless rim of course). I still have 2 bikes na naka tubes btw. See u soon Derek!

Any suggested proven remedy for punctures that can't be sealed by sealant?
My daily commuter bike (6 km round trip) uses tubes, while my weekend bike is tubeless.
What I like about tubes is that I don't have to pump them every day. I tried not pumping them for a few weeks, and they only lost 9 PSI. I also never got a flat with tubes, possibly because I'm more cautious since I don't carry a repair kit. Additionally, there's no maintenance or extra cost since I don't have to buy sealant to top up, tubeless valves, tubeless tape, etc.
On the other hand, my tubeless bike has Vittoria tan sidewall tires. Tan sidewalls are said to be thinner, which makes them less effective at holding air when the bike is not in use. My tubeless tires typically lose 10 PSI a day until only 20 PSI is left in the tire. I don't like having to check the PSI and pump them every time I go for a ride, but I appreciate that I'm not afraid of punctures, and the tires feel lighter.
Thanks for the comparison! You cant have it all ikanga hehe. Ride safe always!
ive always been a tube guy, I always think tubeless is a pain in the ass due to maintenance and setup, but recently i decided to transition to tubeless because the punctures i get are always those very very tiny staple punctures and with that tiny puncture it will take me a ton of effort just to replace the inner tube, because my rims are for tubeless and same goes for my tires, that only means 1 thing. they are extremely hard to remove. Now it's been a month since the transition, i still get those staple punctures but they are not noticeable anymore because they auto seal, i just notice i got puncture when i inspect my tire while cleaning it. I thought to myself, dapat nagtubeless nko noon pa hahaha
This is the perfect story to prove my point haha. Thanks for sharing bro. We have the same experience.
Sir, may I ask ko lng kung familiar kau sa Tannus Armour tire liners, magandang proteksyon un... planning to get a pair
@@mackoytics87 maganda sya sir if daily use ang bike, like bike to work. but if you are getting like an average of 1 or 2 flats a month, i think di sya ganun ka sulit
Sir Sean, do you mind sharing anong name ng shop where u get your bike fixed? Wanna check their helmets sana.

For gravel, I use tubeless. But for road, still tubes. I haven’t gotten punctures in a long time now. And it’s very easy to switch between 32mm and 28mm tires. For that reason, I still find no reason to switch to tubeless. With my gravel tires, it takes serious thinking if you want to change tires because you know you need significant investment in time and patience - it’s so messy.
Def more care and attention with tubeless. Ride safe always
Ever since tubeless was available way back in the early 2000s with mountain bikes - YUN NA!
It's the ultimate choice for trails no doubt!
Thanks for the vid. Still riding with tubes on my road bike, but I use TPU (ridenow) as it's become very cheap (also carry TPU spares). I have tubeless on my gravel bike, however, for the lowest psi possible without compromising speed and comfort, and of course for those micro-punctures that seal up so quickly, it's a must! But I still carry TPU tubes as well. Ride safe bro!
Yeah meron na tayong ultra light packable tubes eh. Makes it easier to carry. Tubeless for gravel panalo. Low psi for grip! Cheers bro
My wife and I only ride mtb and gravel. We just went tubeless a few years ago and we never got a puncture with the set up sa trails with our mtbs. Sa gravel naman, naka 3 races na and same tires pa rin for 2 years and no puncture pa rin so far. Take note that I am on the heavy side na 185lbs, so sulit na. Pero if mag road bike siguro ako mas okay ang naka tubes pa rin para marerepair pa or palit tube lang.
Kung offroad the best talaga tubeless. Lakas ng kagat due to low psi, and no-pinch pa. Ingat!
Hey man, long time viewer, 1st time commenting. I think most riders that have not switch over to tubeless are old timers and sort of not wanting to fix something that isn't broken. Some also fear the unknown. Others, well bottom line, the reason is plain laziness or they're just procrastinating. I'll do everything tomorrow kind of attitude. They are delaying the inevitable because of the inconvenience or the nuisance of switching over. My 2 cents bro.
Know what, thats what i suspect too! A big part of it talaga is unwillingness. Expert level 👌
I experienced a puncture in one of our trail rides.. kasi narinig ko yung pagsingaw and saw how the sealant worked its magic when I continued to ride it.. pero yung burp sa rear tubeless tire ko, ang naging saving grace ko ay interior
Nice one bro. Thanks for sharing!
Sticking to TPU’s, it’s as light or even lighter than tubeless. Tubeless demands more maintenance and gets messy imho. Btw, I’m not fond of butyl tubes as well. TPU is best for me.
Yeah theres a certain level of care that goes with tubeless unlike tubed tires. Ride safe!
Tubeless all the way, even in case of puncture still have a chance to seal it or else I use plug or inner tube to fix the problem.
That's my deal! Be safe always!
From tpu going tubeless. Less hassle never been flat since I transitioned to tubeless.
Cheers my friend 👌
My wheels are tubeless ready, I've never going tubeless unless I'm racing. It's just not practical, I hope you don't get a flat where the sealant can't seal the puncture...in the middle of nowhere.
You can use plug or inner tube to fix it anyway like a normal tube tire.
Oh thats why one should still bring a spare tube, kahit tubeless. Tama ka, minsan malaki ang punit, or odd shape yung puncture. Ride safe always!
Thoughts on tire inserts?
Havent tried it but i wont knock it. I like the concept, but needs more work, adds weight and compromises roll. But yeah, id try it given the chance
Good morning bro.
Good to know brother. Ingat lagi sa daan!
TUBELESS NO GOOD FOR LONG RIDE FOR RACE OK
Interesting take. Ride safe always!
