  • In this video:
    The tank is full so it is time to go agitating and pump in into the slurry tower.
    We also open the big silage pit.

    That's a serious set up for handling and storing slurry. 👍

    Do you put anything in the slurry to keep it liquid? Like slurry gold or any similar product. We used this year slurry Pro for the first time and it did a fantastic job. Just pumped from one tank to the outer tank last week. No crust and almost didn't had to mix it. Another great video,keep them coming 👍

      No haven't used anything like that before but would be open too itbif it could enhance the quality of the slurry

    Lovely stuff, what size is the tank and how long would it normally take to pump it to empty? How do you empty the lay flat pipe when finished?

      I think the tank is roughly 110,000 gallons maybe. Not sure how long it took to empty as I have only done it twice, less than an hour anyway I'd say. I must time it. I usually just leave to pipe there as it's not in the way but if it was think and I wanted to empty it I'd lift it with the back actor of the JCB

    Hi Mike, good video, why has the tractor the roof guard on it, had it a loader on it before

    • @MCMilkingIt
      @MCMilkingIt  2 роки тому +3

      No loader it just came like that when we bought it, got it new and all and hadn't requested it. Handy for tieing things on 😂

    Just as a matter of interest how do u agitate ur tower I have a 120k tower which I find a nightmare to agitate getting 306k tower contemplating getting an air system to agitate it?

    • @MCMilkingIt

      There is a whisk at the bottom to connect directly to the tractor but thus works better in our smaller tower. To the left of the cage you'll see another fill point whi h is more like a jetter. We pump in and use this to break the crust

      Depends on how much rain falls, could be once a week, could once a month, normally every couple of weeks
