- In this Hourglass match to level up my guild, things got interesting to say the least. Common bug in Hourglass is to have one cannon bug out and not show up, but we got lucky and were missing both of our cannons!

Gamedev here, cosmetics and bugs are handled by different teams, this argument pops up all the time. Artist can't fix bugs, and programmers don't do art

@@oskar226 yes to a certain degree, in this case the rowboats have been implemented for a long time. The artists simply need to make additional textures and they need to be randomized

@@Serenejsmooth I'd say a lot of his following likely knows him from SoT, that's why I honestly respect the courage it would take to not let that stop him from doing what he wants, I imagine a lesser person would be glad to sacrifice their happiness for the consistent payday.

I picked the game up on steam in 2020 and I have over 1600 hours. Rare literally is not capable of fixing this game, and it's specifically the reason why I play less and less as time goes on.
Me and my friend who hadnt played for a long time decided to play a bit some days ago, for old times sake. Needless to say we did not enjoy some of the changes they had done to the UI, the bugs and how they made fof way easier. Also the first opponent we faced used cannon aimbot, which ofcourse was lovely. The game feels like a shell of itself and i was quite sad to see what it had become.
rare is simply teaching you that you dont need cannons

I was solo stacking sea forts last night when my audio for only sea of thieves went out, then I black screened and the game never came back.
I think the shipsmith forgot the canons and sail ropes 💀

Sot won't have a strong community if they don't start fixing the game FOR the community.. at this point I don't think they've had a successful update in over a year.. loved waiting 6+ months for season10 just to finish it in the first week... game is slowly deteriorating

The game is dead for you, the season content was spread out over a span of months to keep people from doing all of it in one week, and yes, the game is broken and will never be fixed.
