      I have very much enjoyed learning this with you. Thanks for the sheet music too! My bluegrass teacher wasn't thrilled to teach me, but I made him anyway.

    Why does everyone play this song so fast?

    • @MandoIsland
      @MandoIsland  5 років тому +1

      J. S. Bach has composed great music that works in different settings. This music is so good that everybody wants to play it. And when you play it on a mandolin or on a guitar you cannot play it too slow. I assume you are a singer - when you sing you can hold a note for long and can take a very slow tempo. When you play a note on the mandolin or the guitar it's away after a short time.

    • @joetheairbusguy1813
      @joetheairbusguy1813 5 років тому

      Michael Reichenbach I’m not a singer. I play the mandolin. My sheet music says a 3/4 time. Moderato.

    • @MandoIsland
      @MandoIsland  5 років тому +3

      @@joetheairbusguy1813 - and who says what that is - moderato - my metronome says moderato = 112 or 116 - a score in the Petrucci Librarys gives a tempo of 75 - in this video I play ca. 90 - why can't you accept that everybody can play it like he or she feels - maybe on a sunny day I play faster and on a rainy day I play more slow. If you like it more slow - play it slow. It's music - it's not a computer.
