Thank you so much for sharing Kenny! So many of us are going through things and something about hearing your calm and gentle voice say its ok to feel the way we do helped more than you know. I was living alone for the first time in a long time after my son graduated college and moved to NYC, and then Covid happened. I felt so isolated and depressed because I went from sharing my home with my son and working in a large insurance office call center, to working from home alone. Over two years later we are still working remotely because upper management decided to make working from home permanent. My son mentioned on one of our phone calls that he was concerned that I was spending too much time alone at home, so he sent me a membership for a local gym. Getting out to go to the gym helped with my depression and motivated me to see old friends and my sisters more often, instead of watching 5 hours of Netflix a night! I'm glad to hear you are in a good place!
Thank you Kenny, for being so vulnerable with us. To know thousands will be watching you, and listening to your story like this took a lot of guts. Your children are lucky to have a dad who can be so self-aware, and so raw and honest with his emotions. It will teach them that is is ok to feel all the feelings. It isn't easy dealing with childhood demons when your own children are born, as seeing how innocent they are can trigger those deep seated childhood issues. I have followed Kyndal since her early days on UA-cam - even before she had Hendrix, and so I admit that when you two had the short separation, I jumped right on in there defensively, as I didn't know enough about you at the time, and I feared you were leaving her to deal with motherhood alone. I feel bad about how I judged you then, but knowing more of your story and getting to know you more through these later vlogs, my heart goes out to you. We all need to be reminded that men too, have to take care of their own mental health. You are so strong and courageous to have been through what you have. I still feel a motherly protectiveness for Kydal, but now I feel it for you too - for the little boy who lay in the dark hearing his daddy cracking open beer can after beer can and all that came from wishing for his dad's love. I wish you so many happy, deeply healing and beautiful days ahead as you and Kyndal make a lovely life for yourselves and your beautiful boys. Thank you again so much for sharing xx
Thank you for sharing your story with us, Kenny! I know it isn’t easy to get vulnerable like this. As someone who also grew up with an alcoholic parent, all we can do is promise to do better and break the generational trauma. You are doing a great job with the boys, we can tell how much you love them. You guys have a beautiful family!
Thank you Barbara, I wanted to thank you personally thank you for your kind comments before it means a lot. I'm sorry to hear that, its never easy but I agree somebody has to break the cycle!
I appreciate this side of Kenny! It’s not easy opening up. My dad was similar. Drug addict, alcoholic, abusive, spent a lot of my life in jail & died in jail. I’ve been in similar mental headspace as you and it breaks my heart knowing I wasn’t the best for my kids for a while. PPD almost killed me. There are highs and low so please don’t give up. If you feel yourself slipping let someone know. You don’t need to go through this alone. Looking forward to more videos with you ☺️
I love the way he lights up talking about you and Hendrix. That man loves you with everything that is him ❤️. Never give up on each other is meant to be.
Thank you for sharing this! I have suffered from depression since my teen years. It does make you feel so alone and it's great to know you are not... and it does get better.
I don't comment very often at all but I've been watching since very early days and very muchly care and am always rooting for Kyndal. It's so nice to see you come on here and share your story and will be great to see what's to come for you guys! I'm so happy things are looking up for you and to see you guys together with your family. Kyndal seems happy, and you are brave and it takes a lot of strength to come on here and share your story and want to get more involved in the videos!
Kudos to you Kenny for being so open with us. I do hope you are involved more in the videos in future. Just a side note, post partum depression for fathers is real (and gaining a lot more awareness over here in the UK) and particularly with men who have already battled with mental health. There is zero shame in any mental health issue, it is something that can happen to anyone. Be kind to yourself and keep communication with Kyndal as open as possible. You are both doing great with your boys and they are a credit to you both.
Thank you Kenny for sharing this sensitive topic with us ! Just like kyndal needs you, you need her. Both are amazing parents kudos to you for stepping out of that dark place for your kids.and kudos to kyndal for being a sahm with 3 kids. Mental health is hard on both parts but you guys got this ❤️ I hope you’re more in the videos we would love to see more family content !! ❤️
Thankyou for sharing your story Kenny, really appreciate you opening up to us! And im sure you sharing will also help others! Love that you are starting to vlog too 😊

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am a 36 (37 on Oct. 6th) year old single mom. My son just turned 4. His dad hasn't seen him in a year and a half. It's mostly just my son and I. It gets lonely for me and I know he gets lonely. I see the way he looks at other kids playing with their dads and it breaks my heart. I hope someday someone talks about me and my son the way you talk about Kyndal and Hendrix. I definitely want more babies like you guys but I feel like I'm getting too old but hopefully someday ❤️
