    How many grams your nunchaku

    • @drsayedgouda-sport3439
      @drsayedgouda-sport3439  Рік тому +5

      I didn't weigh it, but it is made of hard metal. Anyhow, I have all types of nunchakus: the plastic, the rubber, the solid wood, the hard metal, the Chinese type, the Japanese type, etc. They all bounce back because this is science, away from all the nonsense I hear from the non-experts. You don't hit into the void, you don't slice into the air! There must be a reaction, a bouncing back. Don't listen to those who only theorise while sitting on sofa eating popcorn! Hold your nunchaku and try it yourself on a tree trunk! Besides, why would any sane person forsake almost 20 cm of length by holding it near the chain and not from its end?! Sheer stupidity and lacking of practical experience in fighting!

      Is a steel one better or a wooden one !?

    • @drsayedgouda-sport3439
      @drsayedgouda-sport3439  Рік тому +4

      Depends on your personal preference. Either one is fine so long as the wood is real wood and the steel is stainless steel. I use both but I prefer the wooden because they’re heavier and they look more elegant too. I mean the top quality ones of course. For performance, the steel nunchakus are easier because they’re lighter in weight than the wooden nunchakus. As a weapon, both will do the job just fine.

    what's the benefit over a long stick?

    • @drsayedgouda-sport3439
      @drsayedgouda-sport3439  11 місяців тому

      A good question! The benefit is that you can carry it in your packsack and even some foldable can be carried in your pocket! I have this type and sometimes keep one in my pocket when I feel I may need it. As for a long stick, you can't take it when you go out. In terms of practicality, the nunchaku is more handy. But in case the two weapon clashes in a fight and both fighters are good with their weapons, I vote for the fighter with a long pole, especially if it is a Wing Chun pole.

    Thank you for this video! It enlightens me because most of videos i watched in youtube they handle it near the chain like they are performing in a circus or something.. but when i watched bruce lee moves his nunchuck he holds it at the end.. so bruce is really holding it right!!!

      I have 16 years of advanced knumchuck training under my first degree black belt. bruce lee is useing basic beginner knumchuck moves and light weight foam and rubber knumchucks in his movies not heavy metal or steel knumchucks like in this video.
      The Closer hand grip to the knumchuck chain is for having more control of the knumchuck for Advanced knumchuck tricks and faster Moves.

    I have 16 year's of Advanced knumchuck training under my first degree black belt in mma and he's not swinging it all the way across.
    it bounced back because he stops swinging halfway while in full grip control which is located by the chain. you have swimming it all the way across and hit it with the tip of the knumchuck to get full deadly force to avoid bouncing back. Do not hit the center the chukon bu of the knumchuck . it also depends what kind of knumchucks your useing and how long you been traing with the same pair.

    • @drsayedgouda-sport3439

      Whenever I read someone saying he has many years of experience and is a holder of what colour belt, I start to doubt what comes next. Say what you have and let people estimate your years of experience whether they are 16 or 160, and whether you hold a black belt or whatever colour it may be.
      You say I stop swinging half way and that is why it bounces back. If this is true, then it is only to minimise the impact of the nunchaku’s bouncing back and hitting my finger. I don’t want to crush my bones and be hospitalised just to demonstrate something normal people should clearly understand.
      You say in a real fight you should hit with the tip of your nunchaku. Your words, sir, show that you most probably have never been in a real fight before (I mean a real and dangerous fight with or without a weapon). In a real fight, sir, you can’t be that precise! In a real fight, sir, things go messy and don’t usually go exactly as you have practiced at home! I’m giving you an advice in order for you to be safe, not in order to be precise. If the nunchaku bounces back at your own hand, it will crush your bones even if you get your opponent killed. Do it the right way and stay safe!

    I have no trouble hitting my bag full force with my grip near the chain. You can just choose whether you want more control or you want more power and range. Both have their place.

    • @drsayedgouda-sport3439
      @drsayedgouda-sport3439  Рік тому +1

      The bag is soft and will absorb the strike and that is why there’s no bouncing back. Try it on a tree trunk or a solid body and you will see the difference.

  • @jaymie855

    Actually. It doesn't matter which part of nunchuks. What's matter is how hard you hit with it. The harder you hit, more chance it will go through and less chance the nunchuks gonna bounce back and hit you. So, whenever you're in a street fight, and you're wielding a nunchuks, just hit as hard as you can.

    • @drsayedgouda-sport3439

      Hit with all your power ONLY when you want to KILL! Hitting with all your power will definitely smash any human skull. Your advice is for killing not for self-defence. Besides, the nunchaku will bounce back if used against any solid body including the human body. It will go through only if you hit through the air, through the void!

    • @jaymie855
      @jaymie855 Рік тому +4

      @@drsayedgouda-sport3439 in a REAL street fight, it's either hurt or be hurted, kill or be killed. If there's a witness, they will claim that you don't start the fight, you just want to defend yourself. Even if the case will take you to the court, a self defense case will always win. The opponent may have died if struck on the head. If the opponent is armed, and you don't want to kill them, just hit their hands, wrist or arms, that will disarm them. Or a blow to the kneecap not just gonna disarm, but also bring them down. I don't know what type of nunchuks you use. I have two type of nunchuks at home, one made from solid wood, and one made from hollow iron. Both of this nunchuks are heavy, and I would say that it's not just a self defense weapons, but also murder weapons. Both of these nunchuks could break a coconut shell. I've practiced with them for about 6 months now, and from what I've learned, there's a chance the nunchuks will bounce back and hit you if you hit slow and stop swinging at the point of impact. To make it so that it will not bounce, I just have to hit hard and keep swinging so it will just go through.

    • @drsayedgouda-sport3439
      @drsayedgouda-sport3439  Рік тому +4

      Yes, if it’s a matter of life and death, then your life comes first. Therefore, you can’t give a general advice to hit with all your power in all situations especially when you admit that the nunchaku can kill. As I said, your advice is not for self-defense, but for killing. You have just confirmed my point. Thank you!

    • @jaymie855

      @@drsayedgouda-sport3439 I'm not just confirmed your point, but also agreed with what you said. But that doesn't mean what I said is wrong. As I said, in the real street fight, it's a matter of kill or be killed. The only way to stop your opponent that really determined to kill you is just to kill them. Or give them brain damage or make them cripple.

    If you hit correctly with a nunchuk, it behaves a bit like a stick. The centrifugal force will keep it straight. To test that, you have to be willing to practice at full force and speed against something right like a wooden pole. And you need a VERY VERY solid pair of nunchuks. Because when you hit properly, it does make a serious impact and most nunchuks are juggling toys, not meant for hitting.

      In a real fight, sir, distance is important. One centimetre more or less could decide who the winner is. By giving yourself almost 20 centimetres extra length, this will make a huge difference in a real fight. And if your grip on the nunchaku is not strong enough, never think of holding it in a real fight. It will be easily taken away from you and used against you. Again, safety comes first.
