Auntie Flo takes things up a notch with this dancefloor banger Praise Him, destined to be one of the tunes of this year's summer festival circuit. Sampling a Kenyan choir that Auntie Flo’s mother used to listen to as a child in Nairobi where she was born; across two versions Praise Him brings African gospel onto the dancefloor with devastating effect.
The Piano version is Henrik Schwarz meets Kerri Chandler jamming with Masters at Work - classic tribal house sounds with epic builds juxtaposed with triumphant chords and a jazzy freestyle keys breakdown. Timeless.
The Choir version is inspired by the current wave of afro-house and amapiano, bringing the transcendental vocal to the fore with added bassline punch and chords that will make you cry with joy. Reach for the sky!
