True. The Capital Police were nothing but respectful and grateful the entire time I was there. We were on shift for "days at a time." 12 hour shifts. That's it. And 6 of that was standby "nap time" status. The two soldiers from Maryland must be entitled.

Buddy of mine said there’s one toilet and a urinal. Male and female have to take turns. There’s one outlet with two plugs for all those Soldiers. Meanwhile, in our warm cozy houses, we get upset because someone is in the bathroom and we have to go to the other bathroom downstairs or upstairs. This is the common disrespect I witnessed when in uniform. This is not an isolated incident. This is simply a different setting.

The National Guardsmen made up of all types of military guys, from those that completed boot camp and at least 3 years of active service and will defend the domestic US lands whenever called upon. They have to spend one weekend per month on drills to keep up their physical requirements but otherwise are private citizens. Is this correct?
@@MM-xh6dp Yes they are private citizens. 3 years active duty is not required. You can join and be sent to basic training and then advanced individual training. Depending on your chosen MOS (Military occupational skill). Infantrymen go through OSUT. One stop unit training. (Basic and AIT combined) Which I believe is now 22 weeks long. Then it’s 1 weekend a month. Usually starting Friday night. And 2 week summer training.
It could be worse than staying in the parking lot. They could be setting up the tent outside in cold weather. What regular people forget is that soldiers are trained to sleep anywhere.
But they are on American soil & there are plenty of space for them to rest. Not in parking garage, where the air quality is very bad. Thank you sir, for serving our country.

True. The Capital Police were nothing but respectful and grateful the entire time I was there. We were on shift for "days at a time." 12 hour shifts. That's it. And 6 of that was standby "nap time" status. The two soldiers from Maryland must be entitled.

Buddy of mine said there’s one toilet and a urinal. Male and female have to take turns. There’s one outlet with two plugs for all those Soldiers. Meanwhile, in our warm cozy houses, we get upset because someone is in the bathroom and we have to go to the other bathroom downstairs or upstairs.

The National Guardsmen made up of all types of military guys, from those that completed boot camp and at least 3 years of active service and will defend the domestic US lands whenever called upon. They have to spend one weekend per month on drills to keep up their physical requirements but otherwise are private citizens. Is this correct?

3 years active duty is not required. You can join and be sent to basic training and then advanced individual training. Depending on your chosen MOS
(Military occupational skill). Infantrymen go through OSUT. One stop unit training. (Basic and AIT combined) Which I believe is now 22 weeks long. Then it’s 1 weekend a month. Usually starting Friday night. And 2 week summer training.
