I'm funded but I lost one of my funded accounts due to the daily drawdown. My question is what happens to all the money I made after they take my account back? I feel like if you hit your daily drawdown limit, you should be done for the day, not all your profits from previous trades be confiscated

Prop firms give you up to 10x your entry fee. If you blow the daily max on a prop firn 90% chance you wouldve blew your own money...stay disciplined and pretend that 5% daily is all you have. Split that into 10 trades and aim for 1:3 or better. NY Killzone entries only and you'll be alright...
Can’t you do the same thing with a real account by using a firm that gives you 200 to 500X leverage and simply trade your account based off the prop firms rules.

I think I want to start with swing trading because I don't have a lot of time yet to dedicate to Forex, then when I'm profitable enough to not work as much at a regular job, spend more time learning to be a scalper. Is there anything wrong with that idea? I am a pre-beginner right now. I know I really want to learn Forex trading. I also think I'd enjoy scalping if I had the time to dedicate to it.

Most prop firms charge a one-off fee per account, not a monthly fee.

That's true. If you don't know the basic of Forex stay away from prop firms unless you are using a passing service that will manage your account.
