If you wanna use batter again then you can be more prepared next time, so know that pushing the hunter into a wall cancels the stun, also that you can save people without going into rampage mode because if you hit the hunter when they are in the balloon pickup animation it will let them go, and lastly that you can remove the ball cooldown without the ball disappearing, by turning on rampage mode then turning it back off then you can use the ball and pick it back up.

Wilding tips: don't waste your rage for speed if being chased, when mounting Ruben minecraft story mode, mount him in a position where you can't get hit out of the animation, if the hunter just makes you want to use up a boar stamina, make sure you get full worth out of the use, when rescuing try to hit them as the hunter is in the middle of picking the survivor up to have them not need to struggle
Info regarding Professor's Scale (I love how you call them pinecone) If a different Survivor uses the scale they can still push back the Hunter and even Balloon Rescue but they cannot stun the Hunter unlike Professors
