Iv really been enjoying watching jesse play thru this game. The way indy looks and sounds and the dialogue really makes it seem like watching one of the old movies.
Hey @Jesse, don't feel bad about that puzzle, I spent so long trying to figure it out as well, In fact, it was my frustration with this puzzle that led to another little collectible thing in this game. This little Box on the stool, 31:47, can actually be broken open, I found this out because of a brawl that broke out while trying to solve this puzzle which led to me accidentally breaking open this box. To answer your earlier question, I absolutely Adore this game, I wish it came out sooner so I could vote for it for Game of the Year, The only real gripe I have is that I wish the game could be clearer on when you had enough information to solve a puzzle. For Example, "A Date to Remember" needs you to have access to this later area dependent on the nun side quest AND one of the related "clues" is the note you get from opening the chest. Although I will say that, you don't get locked out of anything, the story just gets jumbled a bit. *Spoiler for Vatican Area* This whole Gina Side quest, I completely missed, I followed what I thought was a side quest about the fountain and ended up Completing the entire Area. I revisited this location and was still able to complete everything though. Another Tip, 36:36 You can burn certain Propaganda Posters in each region, This is what this region's looks like.
I remember seeing the lava puzzle and almost reacting with scorn - until I remembered that Italy does in fact reside in a volcanic region (along with Greece). It's why pizza exists. 😁😆
2:38:48 "The shape of your risorius muscle. The angle of your orbicularis oris. Your face betrays sins that cry to heaven for vengeance" 2:39:28 "He's very persuasive, isn't he?" No, he's not 😒 I didn't know there was face-oriented phrenology (it's called physiognomy). It's hard to believe such silly statements could be intimidating in any way (much like phrenology, physiognomy is also pseudoscience). 3:06:56 "Nothing is quite so easy to manipulate as an insecure male" That does have a lot of meme potential 😛
1:35:35 This is some serious SCP shit right here. Three people walled in with a Paleolithic Venus figure, and instead of showing signs of trying to get out, all died next to it peacefully with no obvious cause of death visible. I'd think twice before picking that up with my bare hands.
Dont know if it gets addressed in this episode but the map icons have arrows that indicate whether the collectible is above or below ground. Also, you can bash open lock boxes for cash
This is pretty universal language. He also uses/states it in the other episodes. That doesn't mean he always SEES it. But he knows what it means when he does.
Watching Jesse lose his mind the same way I did trying to get into locked areas and solve puzzles is schadenfreude of the highest order. Don’t ever change, Cox.
The Secret of the Ancients actually has a secret, second reward. If you look, you can see some of them have candles lot or unlit. 10 pictures and their flames. Remember that while crypt exploring
"I think its could be behind this door" Completely ignores the door because he thinks it's where the game wants him to go. Character comes to Him and he consequently misses content behind the door 🤦♀️
This game shot up on my GOTY list. For me, it's easily better than Dragon Age and FF Rebirth. All great games but the pacing, polish and writing are unmatched. Also there seriously is a lack of immservive sims, especially in the AAA space.
Funny actually. The Crystal Skull is a VERY VERY Indiana Jones movie. As in, it was too close to how the originals were written/paced/shot. The problem is, by the time it came out, people liked the IDEA of an Indy movie more than an ACTUAL one. People's nostalgia got in the way. Tastes have changed. It's like how the original Star Wars trilogy is "Slow" and "Boring"[1] with all the longer drawn out scenes and silence. Our expectations are different. This new Indy game avoids the problem by having the scenes be short, and having the benefit of players moving around and doing things between the scenes. [1] Not for me, but try showing them to some 10-14 year-olds who are already fans of the newer stuff...
I like the image of Indy sprinting around the Vatican looking straight down at a map, looking like the most touristy tourist.
That "Confessional" scene is what convinced me to buy the game.
who is the actor doing the confessing, because I swear I've seen that face before doing that exact same pose when he says "I love America!"
Iv really been enjoying watching jesse play thru this game. The way indy looks and sounds and the dialogue really makes it seem like watching one of the old movies.
Yeah it's more enjoyable to watch than it is to actually play.
Probably would have been better as a movie.
Jesse walking around with that camera this entire episode making indie look like a tourist
37:44
Indy: "Locked. Elizabeth!"
Gina: "Who?"

Fun fact jesse... if you whip an enemy when stealthing aiming at their head, you yabk em at a distance and KO em quickly and ironically stealthfully
I accidentally skipped the entire giant boss fight and scene with Voss and Mussolini because I found the door to leave before picking up the cat lmao
I did that too, had to roll back the save (thankfully can do that in game). It was utterly infuriating that it was even possible.
For others who didnt recognize the axe at around @01:03:00 , its called a "fasces", and is the source of the word "fascism"
I remember seeing the lava puzzle and almost reacting with scorn - until I remembered that Italy does in fact reside in a volcanic region (along with Greece). It's why pizza exists. 😁😆
Aren't we ALL looking for our lost Cat Mummy *gazes wistfully out the window*

Yay, more Jesse & Indy! Let's gooooooo!

To this games credit, it's extremely good at letting you come back and collect items that were missed
Unneeded information, but to the question at 1:28:51, in short, "ß"="s", so the name would be Weiss.
All I want for Christmas is for Jesse to finish this game (I know you’re moving, all good, just come back soon)
I think I need to go away, play this and then come back and watch. It's too good to miss.

Bless you, Dr. Cox.
39:33 I started sneezing really hard and this happens just in time lol. 😂
The Secret of the Ancients actually has a secret, second reward. If you look, you can see some of them have candles lot or unlit. 10 pictures and their flames. Remember that while crypt exploring
It's far more enjoyable to watch Jesse play this than it is to actually play yourself.
Probably would have been better as a movie than a game
😂
13:10 Good clue chat. 9 out of 10.
Personally, I consider this to be a nun-issue
I see what you did there
Hahaha! … Uh, but seriously, are you gonna help her, or what?
43:45 I think this is a great game and all my online friends do too, it's a shame it just missed the game awards, it's very deserving of some!!
Just as I was hoping for more Indiana adventures
Thank you Jesse for this amazing bday present! 😄
I was so happy to see this in my feed
More
Of this!!! Less of dragon age!!
the turning off the light bit slayed me
43:50 - I am hoping this game gets an almost 1:1 port to VR. Whip mechanics would needs tweaked but not a lot else.
2:27:10 I was expected the game to squawk, like RE4 does with Ashley.
That evil doer nam must have been pan. So Jesse got to dust pan. 😂
More Jesse, more! I'm already caught up on Twitch vods :(
1:01:00 You see father, communism is just a Red Herring!
Now Ernest . You gotta stop obsessing over the treasure, otherwise folk will be calling Ernest P woral the fool. 😆
Truly glorious
If you pause at the right time at 56:14, you can briefly see a blackshirt in need of an exorcism.
Jesse, the German ß is double s. I.e. it's "Weiss" (surname, but means "white").
Ruby Weiss Blake Yang.
That's how I remember it.
we're so back
"I think its could be behind this door"
Completely ignores the door because he thinks it's where the game wants him to go.
Character comes to Him and he consequently misses content behind the door 🤦♀️
Ok, but what was Voss implying about Father Ventura?
Too bad I'm caught up to the twitch vods
22:59 God will forgive you but we won't

The woman in temple of doom was Lucas' wife?
10/10
you know, what with this game and Star Wars Outlaws, there's been a lot of good quality John Williams-core game music lately
"Yes Yes fascism. Yes" - Jesse Cox 2024
Somehow this game is the sequel we wanted while the actual sequel movies are hot garbage.

4 and 5 were good movies. grow up and deal with it, nerd.

Skyrim is in Tamriel.
