I switched from Galaxy Z Fold4 to this, and I've never been more calm and happier. The hotspot feature is awesome, as I can take my tablet or e-reader with me if necessary. The battery lasts about a week in my use. Of course it's pretty sluggish and even buggy sometimes, but for me it's a good thing: It makes me want to use it even less. The photos from the camera are decent, videos aren't. :D
This is exactly what they're intended for. Minimise phone usage. As it should be. Glad you enjoy this👍👍
This video was just what I was looking for. Its hard to find videos that go past the '"Im gonna frezze this in a block of ice then drop it" and actually go into the detail, explaining things like the OS. Thank you much appreciated.
I have an opinion. I noticed that a lot of people interested to buy a feature phones always asking about how well the phone operating the Whatsapp app but I don't know why almost all youtubers that do the review always skip showing the Whatsapp app. If a feature phone reviewer mention the phone can or cannot operate a Whatsapp or how well the phone operate it, I think it will help a lot of people or at least just tap and show how every app looks like including Whatsapp, we can see whether its laggy or what Whatsapp features its lack compares to the android phones one.
Anyway, thank you for this video. I hope you do more reviews about feature phones in the future and I really reallllly hope Nokia improved their feature phones quality.
Just to add on, for Kai OS v2.5, text, voice call,sending photos and video attachment are possible

@@lukahmad5683 no ,not true. The WhatsApp is optimised for keypad interaction.
@@DrNokia_theoriginal Because I saw, its like we have to use the up,down,left, and right to control the mouse. So its not on all device? Do you know which phone use that cursor, which is not? or we enable or disable the cursor?

I have Nokia G50 5G...for me..its very nice android phone from nokia..still using from 2022 until now 👍👍👍

Internet radio from an app works fine on speaker.
All comms options are hotkeyed, setting a recorder option as a shortcut when chatting to a liar is handy, as for durability, it’s strong enough to knock out a small child if thrown correctly.
Nice commentary, it's convinced me to buy it. Especially the use cases against children.

If an application like a forum that is line(like notes) - calendar-sharing(notes) of that application? Simplest and light? Entry(into application) by Passcode, I.P & Device Type? This phone looks perfect. Notification by Group? "Job-Life Notes & Calendar" as Application Name(within the companies linked in 1 application)? If H.T.M.L is it Lighter than Notes that is shared?
Where did you find it for that price? Was it new? Apparently its waterproof up to 1.5m which is really good for a cheap phone
every now and then something like this pops out in the online market where they are just clearing stocks from other countries. This is not new but in mint condition.
I have the same one but I think it is a fake or imitation version because it does not have Wi-Fi or GPS. Could the reason be the Kaios version that it comes with or is it a cheaper version? Do you have any information that can help me? thank you
Unfortunately there is a cheaper fake one which is a GSM unit. Which is why need to be careful when purchasing it at a cheaper price.

At 14:50 you showcased the ability of opening up the quick access menu, well, i can't open it for some reason. I've pressed the left d-pad button and the phone isn't reacting at all. I'm running KaiOS 2.5.2.2, and if i'll navigate to Software Update section, it says that the current version is at 40.00.17.02. Can there be unique versions of this phone, that have been sold in course of 5 years time?

Preexisting account continues to work till Jan 2025 if I recall correctly..new accounts won't work anymore.
I have seen that Nokia i already use the phone but dumbphone new KaiOS device technologies from COVID-19.

I don't like KaiOS,i find it sluggish on my 800 and even buggy.
For example i use my 800 for only one thing,and that is alarm clock,and sometimes do to that stupid kaios it doesn't ring at designated time but only after i press the button to wake up the phone. I would rather if it came with S30.

After more than a year there is no network signal.. It cannot be fixed.. Do not use this phone..
Network signal? That's strange. Please liaise with HMD customer support..the one here is working fine.
