I just swapped out an Asus rog strix 1080ti OC for a founder's edition 3070ti. Can confirm the 3070ti is about 30-40% faster and does the raytracing the 1080ti does not. I miss the vram a bit but it's a great card. the 1080ti is still an extremely viable option in any game I've played at 1440p and 120hz.
The best thing i can recommend is overclocking the 3070, on partner boards higher end models you can push the clocks absurdly high, i did a overclock to 2.1ghz(core) and 7800mhz (mem) and in some games it performs as good or better than a 3070ti
My 3060 is struggling to get 60 FPS in Far Cry 6 on the same settings as you. The only difference is I have a i7-10700k. Is the r5 5600x that much better?
@@prizm9480 check your driver, check if enough power for GPU. If problem doesn't resolves, check if thermal paste is applied correctly. You maybe monitor the temps, if the temps go skyrocket then it will mostly be a thermal paste issue. Go for warranty if you got one.
A lot. Check the ray tracing benchmarks 8gb is not enough it's using more than 8gb I have 3070Ti 8gb and I suffer a lot. It's for textures and ray tracing
@@xrpthreefivezero3206 not really. 10gb is still enough for another 2-3 years for ray tracing And 8gb is enough without ray tracing You can always reduce textures also to reduce vram
@@thetechnocrat6388 there is no point of nvidia using gddr6x on 3080. should have follow amd with 16gb gddr6 on 6800xt..... meaning 6800xt has more life to 3080. what the point of gddr6x really?
It's so when new hardware comes out in the future, you can go back and replay games you liked with even better graphics. Sometimes the highest settings are not intended for current hardware, it's more just to have the option there for future proofing.
Obviously, if the game doesn't require more than 8GB of VRAM, there won't be any advantages for the 3060, so it's normal for the 3070 to perform better in games. Differences are noticeable at higher resolutions, but fundamentally the 3070 is more powerful.

I feel so broken to see performance of 3060 on front of 3070 😢
O ganho de fps da RTX 3070 no CyberPunk chegou quase aos 35% a mais. 😮

You need a better case, your airflow is pretty bad. My 3090 is OC'd to 2.1mhz and i never go above 57 or see my clocks go below 1945.

ryzen 5 5600x
just look at the
power of the 2 GPU
I dont understand why games have such high graphics, even the best graphic cards run 100% and 70 degrees on really demanding games

even true next gen games do not come out yet
My 3070Ti gets 78c on latest demanding games so
It is because there is no limit to graphic fidelity but there is to handle those.
You can always just turn down the graphical settings and lock the FPS. Your GPU doesn't need to be running toasty all the time you know?
Do most game want alot of vram or is it just for a few games?
few games like cyberpunk and last of us
My 3070 with hd textures on is running 2 to 3 fps any idea how?
It's actually a 570
As long as it's 60fps + on 1440p ultra im fine. So ill be taking the 3060 and would rather save the 200 dollars extra for a good monitor 😅
