- Live streams are additional content first broadcast on Twitch. More conversational and mostly full flights with less tutorial elements. Full detailed tutorials will continue on UA-cam also.
1st May 2021: JustFlight British Aerospace 146 : Gatwick EGKK to Bern LSZB
Replicating the first ever British Aerospace commercial service with Dan-Air from London Gatwick to Bern.
“TGT” is of course “Turbine Gas Temperature”, not “Target”, but the latter rolls of the tongue much easier than “Tee Gee Tee”!

Thanks for this video 👌 I love the BAe 146. When I was a child, lying for a long time on the top floor of the hospital in Bern, I could watch all the planes approaching and departing from Bern Airport. The BAe 146 of Dan-Air was always my highlight. Aviation kept me alive then! I have just bought this awesome package 😍
I love the 146 too - such a unique and interesting aircraft. I hope you enjoy the JustFlight aircraft.
You owe it to yourself to install X-Camera - you can disable scroll-wheel zoom entirely (per aircraft), and/or configure middle-click to toggle scroll-wheel zoom.
I use a HOTAS and the wheel under my left pinky is mapped to camera zoom. So I have the scroll-wheel firmly set to not zoom and only to manipulate knobs. It's a huge improvement!
Sorry the delay responding, summer has been really busy! Yes I've tried X-Camera previously but didn't spend the time to get to know it properly. Will give it another try I think!
Thank you for the video. I'm really enjoying the JF 146 and whilst there are a few bugs and issues, it's clear JF and Thanada are not resting as we are already on version 1.4. I would like;
*Better quality audio announcements
*Louder howl as the current is very quiet
*Visible GPU
I would highly recommend this one. The 146 is a great aircraft. I very nearly can land the 100 version at Compton Abbas!!
Thanks Paul. Yes I'd like to see the ground support equipment too. It's been a long time since I was on a 146, but I remember the flap howl being very obvious in the cabin. Ahh, Compton Abbas - yeah it would just about fit there. No problem on the longer Goodwood runway either ;-)
Nice stream, looks like you enjoyed it.
It's a good fun aircraft to fly. Waiting patiently for the VC10 now ;-)
I'm getting parts to build an XP11-capable PC next week. This aircraft will be my first purchase, but I will be looking to mod the behaviour of the roller counters on the altimeters, engine instruments, and DME readouts. The smaller digit should push the larger digit, and the DME should flick up and down in 0.1NM increments. Maybe some hysteresis on the DME groundspeed too!
Yes there are quite a few things on the 146 that would benefit from improved systems - it very much relies on the X-Plane stock systems and datarefs and in a lot of cases using that information “raw” doesn’t produce a satisfactory result. The 146 is a lot of fun though - not the most detailed, but pleasant to fly.
I hope that Just Flight will update this to XP12, they seem to have all their focus on MSFS2020
Best Sofa manager ever! Got the plane on day 1 and enjoying it a lot. Never liked it tbw but startet to love it when i got the chance to fly with it irl. The soundstage was amazing :-)
Small request...could you somehow announce the streams on yt as well? I never get alarmed by twich although i have everything checked on your channel.
Stay safe and keep that Sofa in check.
Thanks Jack. Maybe back to work soon, who knows. I haven't really streamed on UA-cam yet, only Twitch, but yes, I can announce the streams on the UA-cam community thing too - thanks for the good idea.
Hi Graeme
Thanks for another excellent video. I had the Quality Wings version of the Avro/RJ back in the day on MS Sim. Although I've only done 2 or 3 short flights in this version (CYOW_CYYZ_ CYUL) I think it is far superior to the QW product.
The only ones I saw in RL were operated by Air Nova an Air Canada subsidiary. They used to do 3 or 4 flights per day in and out of Ottawa as I recall. I always thought it was a great looking aircraft.
In your next video on the JF 146 could you demonstrate the operation of the "sync"(CWS) mode?
Thanks.
ATC 578
Thanks, sorry for the late reply. Yes I was playing with the sync mode during the beta phase, I'd need to check up on it in the release version, but I'll make a note for any future 146 content to show the CWS feature. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@ReflectedRealitySimulations Great, I'll look forward to it.
I never understood how to maintain airspeed on this thing...
It's a fairly simply autopilot on the 146, but in general if you remember that IAS hold is a pitch mode, not a speed mode, it all should start to make sense.
