Taking a T bus in this heat? You're brave. Yesterday I had and I kid you not 10 T buses go mechanical on the W3's. Literally one after the other, I was about to come back driving after yesterday lol
Another great video Peter. What is the sign on, sign off time on this duty? How many hours paid? As a norwegian bus driver its interesting to compare with UK working conditions. Hopefully you can do a video explaining your rota soon.
You get 10 minutes sign on time, and 5 minutes sign off time, (plus walking time where needed) so the shift was 1707 sign on + 4 minutes walking and 0151 sign off. Paid at 11 hours as it was a Saturday shift so carries weekend enhancements
T buses yes all they are good for is keeping cool Thats if the air con works The new electric buses are ok on the flat ( no pun ) but must be depleting the power going up hill to Barnet Nice video Peter
I think am late but how are you doing well?. Was it you driving? T259 last night it was funny seeing that on the 307 it normally on 121 and 313 am glad you’re back to work I know it you driving you take odd buses on the 307 I seen you multiple times I think the bus on the 307 I think 307 will go 100% electric April 17 2024 I heard your getting 66 more ES buses I saw ES22 at Chingford I think the next route is 121 for the electric Wright StreetDeck Electroliner they are going to be most used buses for the company hope you have a good night
I know, climate change is getting ridiculous meaning the weather could be either extremely hot or warmer. Some of the enviro 400 can be nasty and some of them not nasty.
To knock out the grid to charge buses. Yeah I know diesel and all that surrounds it is tricky with world politricks at the moment but it would save all this. Hydrogen is probably too expensive. I remember the heat we had in 2002 where most buses in central london radiator blew up due to the heat. Sounds like the CNGs we drive here, literally A/C on all day knocked out the fuel
I have applied for my bus licence with metro line tonight 😊
Good Luck

Lol. This was my second half (2228 - 0150). Had my 40 minutes comfort break at Oakwood in the sauna that is DW522 on my first half
@@BristolRELOL same story up here
You driving a T bus and liking it . The end is near 😂😂
Lol

Good video Peter. Nice to see a ‘T’ bus on the 307 after a long time 🎉
Thanks, yes, made a change
Good to see you back again
Thanks

Thanks, electric buses are good for pulling away and climbing hills properly
Is it just me, or does 307 actually look good with green blinds?
Probably just you, Lol. Never really considered it to be honest
Originally when these enviros were introduced every London bus had green blinds and more colourful liveries
Yeah. I guess they tfl have their reasons for keeping them on these.
The blinds are yellow in colour, not green.
T Buses was lovely
Always are
Nice video keep it up
Thanks
@@BristolRE you are welcome
Perfect Saturday duty. Do you know any odd routes with weekend spreads?
Cant' think of any
What's the biggest meal break a spread duty can have? 3 ½ hrs? 3 hrs 15?
@@mohibj Just over 4 hours is the biggest I recall seeing
I get why spread only drivers don't exist now, it will be like getting paid to chill lol. What route was this shift on?
@@mohibj Cannot recall. Spreads are tiring unless you live close to the garage and can go home on your break
To be honest TFL and government are not ready for electric buses and vehicles.
Indeed
@@BristolRE 💯
@@BristolRE Was The ES10 your bus
@@Abdul.M. No, that was broken down awaiting a tow
Ha. I don’t think the Government/TFL are ready for anything…
Nice video Peter. Good the old schedules are back so you can swap for something decent.
Yep, though once 100% ES I reckon it will be compulsory to use an ES
@@BristolRE Oh yes definitely. Unless of course they’re really short of buses.
Electric is the future, so they say ☠️🤣
Indeed, Lol

Yes, that was me in T259
Ok that good I saw you again on the bus T259 you really love it
@@Adiss281 That was a fast T bus
Yes definitely what you’re favourite T bus
Quick question where did. ES1 go not been out since late last month
Always think those split mirrors on the drivers side create a blind spot at roundabouts etc. prefer the smaller ones
Yes, they do.
Nice video Peter, thought you hated the T bus. Yeah the weather is going to be warmer than the previous years due to the climate change!
The weather is nasty, T buses are much improved!

@@TrainBoy-tf9gh Indeed
ES10 has ran out of batteries that’s why it got broken down
Drivers are supposed to keep an eye on the charge and call it in when it reaches 20% (can still do one round trip on 10% or one single journey on 5%)
@@BristolRE yh that’s what the drivers are supposed to do keep an eye on the charge and call it when it reaches to 20%
Electric buses break down when it rains my local Ev buses always break down because of the rain
No logical reason why they should do that
Great video just to let you know I have done a new video

Rare?
Becoming more common, but still rare-ish
I thought you hated them 😂
The engineers have done something to them, faster than DWs now. Had T259 tonight, another rocket
@@BristolRE I’ll be honest DW296 is painfully slow I caught it on the SWR Rail Replacement and is extremely slow currently on master coaches
