You can identify as whatever you want. But please stop using the term “cis” when describing others. The vast majority of people don’t like the term.
The term CIS was coined in 1994 and only added to the dictionary in 2015. It is not something I identify with. It is an offensive label given to a particular group of people to identify others not like them.
People expect me to respect how they identify yet try to force a term on me.
I'm male.
Cisgender male LOL
@@marrastreamheart8542 refer to me as you wish, made up names don't upset or define me or others.
I simply choose not to use these words.
The belligerence and hypocrisy of many who use such terms continue to facinate me though.
It was used to make "them" feel good LOL
Dumbest term ever. I'm so offended
Listen, I refuse to use the word cisgender, or even acknowledge that word. First of all, it sounds like a new kind of fool. It sounds stupid. It's utterly rediculous that a female who was born female, and is straight has to be expected accept a name tag because of what's going on with transgender individuals. That word is offensive. Oh, but what we're supposed to be ok with being offended if it make trans people feel better, right? I think not! I am a "Real" natural born female from birth and I don't appreciate having some label placed on me. They( gay, trans, or whatever they prefer) can refer to themselves any way they choose, but as for females from birth, WE'RE JUST PLAIN FEMALE OR WOMEN!
I am not a cis woman I'm just a good old fashioned WOMAN.
Tumblr, should've known.
I'm a woman and identify has a woman, I don't identify has a cis woman. I support trans-people and accept them. If a woman or a man wants to identify has a cis then that's fine, has long has you accept me for me not identifying has a cis. Just because I don't accept being called cis woman doesn't mean I'm against trans people, I 100% support transgender and other people that identify with who ever they identify has, you aren't hurting me or any other person that's out there. Most of the gender identities that's out there today, I don't understand, but you're not hurting me or any other person out there.
@Asia White you're welcome 🙂
@Asia White exactly, just because I say I’m a man, (which I am) doesn’t make me apart of the lgbt community, that’s just straight bs. Just say I’m a dude tf?
Fishgender. Born male, prefers to be with the opposite sex, and accepting of people who enjoy fishing.
LOL 😆🤣😂
I personally don't like being called Cis or Cisgender even though I guess it does describe me
I am an ally but I don't really like the word
I just feel like, why do we need labels other than for medical reasons and stuff?
Maybe it's because I've never heard the word used till a few months ago and I've never heard it irl
But I just see myself as a girl
And if I was trans and a girl, could I still not just be a girl?
People have preferences about pronouns, mine are she/her/hers.
So can we have preferences about how we are described aswell and still be an ally?
Cisgender is not a thing to be honest
Some called its opposite of transgender where women by thier genital and men refers by thier genital so basically we all are Cisgender by this term🤣
If you don't like the word cis or cisgender don't let others make you think you have to use it in order to support them and their feelings. If they cared about how you felt they wouldn't be asking you to use those labels for yourself.
Weird how if you call them a name they don't like you're transphobic, but if you don't like the name they call you you're still transphobic. The double standard is hilarious.
Why don't we just call them "Honest" instead of "Cisgender"?
Cisgendered literally Is what they are.
I identify as me. You identify as you. The end.
And we lived happily ever after! Amen
I am male I also don't need the word cis I'm just a man just a man
So we’re just making up words at this point I See ..... !?
cis is a latin prefix thar has been around for ages. cisgender has been used since the 1910's.

it's already is being used as cissy
No I'm good thanks. The Cis isn't necessary for me. Label yourself whatver you want but don't be attaching labels to the rest of us when it's not required.

Trans and cis are opposite prefixes.
Trans = across
Cis = on the same same side as
Transgender= gender identity does not match your assigned gender at birth, so it "crosses"
Cisgender=your gender does match your assigned gender at birth, so it "stays on the same side."
