Are cons really fun? I would love to go to one if i knew if it was worth it. Is it a good community that if I'm a novice at cosplaying I won't be harshly judged if i can't afford a good costume/props?
I know this comment is toward Fox but from my personal experience I think cons are really fun. I've been going to conventions since I was in 10th grade and now I'm 23. I'm not going to lie and say that all of the conventions I've been to have been perfect but I still had fun. And I really do think that it's a good community. People will most likely not care that you can't afford good costumes/props since all cosplayers started out somewhere. There will be a few bad eggs every once in a while but I couldn't let them ruin your fun.
