The filming and production of this Nasheed video was made in consultation with reputable Ulama, the following is a list of just a few who allow the portrayal of Sahabis RA, in the form of play and acting in order to benefit the masses.

The characters portrayed are not Sahaaba (blessed companions of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alyhi Wassalam) and we have taken on their likeness for the sake of portraying those pivotal incidents in a novel so that it is easy to digest and is of benefit for our children.
We hope this production will help introduce new people to the great and illustrious companions who supported the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alyhi Wassalam, particularly for our growing generation of young Muslim youth.
We ask Allaah to forgive us our mistakes and shortcomings, and reward all involved for their efforts. Please note the Nasheed is non musical using only the voice and the daff drum

It does not contain wind and stringed instrumental music, only voice and duff. Our beloving prophet (saw) approved the use of duff and even encouraged in certain ocassion to play the duff.

It does not contain wind and stringed instrumental music, only voice and duff. Our beloving prophet (saw) approved the use of duff and he did not restrict to only weddings.
People of Madinah used to play drums for the prophet (saw) out of joy:
Anas ibn Malik reported:
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by some of the girls of Medina and they were playing their drums and singing the words, “Muhammad is an excellent neighbor! We are neighbors from the tribe of Najjar!” The Prophet said, “Verily, Allah knows that you are dear to me.”

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani
In another hadith prophet (saw) told a woman to carry out her vow by playing on drum:
Abdullah ibn Amr reported: A woman came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and she said, “O Messenger of Allah, I have made a vow I will play the drum for you.” The Prophet said, “Fulfill your vow.” She said, “I have made a vow to sacrifice at a certain place where they slaughtered in the time of ignorance.” The Prophet said, “For an idol?” She said no. The Prophet said, “For an image?” She said no. The Prophet said, “Fulfill your vow.”
