This is the most helpful video I've seen, love the no bullshit take on your process. Thanks for posting man, it's given me confidence on doing this exact install
Another great video! Wish I would have had UA-cam when I was just starting out wrenching on bikes. Be appreciative kids that channels like this are out there.
Just did the cam chest on my 2012 103. Followed this install pretty close and had no lifter noise upon start up either. Used all the gaskets from Feuling's kit except for a small little f*cker that isn't mentioned in the instructions anywhere and looks like you didn't use either. My new cams are the 543's, feels great!
I had a customers cam bearing fail not long ago. Failed so bad and he let it go so long how cams wore inch deep trenches through the case and we had to send them out to be welded and re-bored. It also allowed his lifters to drop so much that the retaining/locator pin hopped on top of the lifter and do a load of damage up there too
I could be wrong but I am looking at the same instructions sheet from Feuling and to me it looks like for the front cylinder the timing mark for tdc is: cam shaft sprocket mark up and Crank sprocket mark up as well. Love your videos.
@kruesioriginals @Fuelingparts instructions say the 32tpi SS pushrods and HP+ lifters should be set to 3.19 turns.... does it make a difference if you set it to 4turns?
Factory parts cause the dealership to have future repairs on their bikes and they do the whole "void the warranty" scare to make sure their customers come back to them vs other shops such as yours 🤣 it's just business lol
Dude I really like your videos, I have a 2000 Dyna wide glide FXDWG of course it is a twin can, and I have brought a S&S cam plate with 510C cams and new oil pump and I plan to install all that by my self,
Kruesi did that work on the front TDC if marks were opposite. On sprockets.? I done mine and the marks wasn’t exactly opposite from each other. On front TDC. They were a little off. Thanks.
Nice video fellas! I installed that same Fueling setup in my 01 King. The crank gear was tight on mine too. Mines carbureted but it t fuckin rips too! Love your content. I’m watched the other cam install video you mentioned before I did mine. I loved the biker vs motorcycle enthusiast bit you did. Had me ROTFLMAO!
I had a ticket to fly to Spokane and buy that bike and of course the same day another FXDX came up for sale locally so I bought it. Moral of the story is is I I should have made the trip. I did just put that fueling kit in the 2000fxdx and it has the 95” so it runs pretty good
I love the video, one thing i would appreciate though, would you please exspain that your showing S&S pushrod adjustment, but the fueling pushrods actually have a diferen adjustment setting than the S&S pushrods
I was installing a new Feuling camchest kit with all new o rings but when I went to torque the camplate I noticed one of the threads was stripped. So I had to remove the camplate along with the oil pump that was already attached to the camplate. I fixed the thread with a helicoil but I wanted to know, those new o rings for those two small holes and the one for the oil pump should still be good right? To go to the Harley dealer and get new o rings it’s about a 45 minute drive

Hey Ryan, I followed the feuling install procedures as directed, got everything all put back together, but when I tried the light gauge test to build oil pressure, that light just wouldn’t go out and I cranked that thing at least 10-15 times short several second bursts. Oil pump was full of lube and I have at least 2.5 qts of oil in there. Any ideas?
Did you fill the oil filter full of oil? Your sensor could be bad or you probably did something wrong I would pull the camchest apart again and double check your work.
Yeah filter was full of oil, I took it apart twice now and everything’s flowing and turning right. I do have my instrument cluster/gauges disconnected l if that would have any effect?
Just doing the same thing but a bit confused on the pushrod adjustment! According to the feuling info for their 4000 lifter the 32tpi s&s pushrods should be 3 1/3 turns. Do you recommend 4 turns like both your video's? Not so many people to ask here in the UK
Depends on how much movement the lifter has that lifter might be different. I do not use Feuling lifters. You need to pull the lifter apart and measure it .

Love the vids as always. I just bought some rear shock sliders. Question? I have an 05'. Would you have gone the the 543 or the 574, If you would have had the newer style heads? Thanks
Fueling instructions say when u put everything back together the rear cylinder is at top dead center then rotate 180 so u can get TDC on front cylinder. I used ss and the dot on the top gear is about half inch forward tthen the fueling instructions to get TDC on front cylinder. Regardless of what co u use the chain gear gets reused so shouldn't the dots end up in the same spot for TDC front cylinder. Trying to figure out if that's normal or is something wrong.
