    For tubes, use a metal toothpaste squeezer to get the most product out. Then when you think you can’t get any more out, cut it open and use a spoon handle or leftover skincare spatula to get the rest out. If I see there’s more than one application, I’ll transfer the product to something like an empty glass lip balm jar to keep it airtight. And Kelly’s right, don’t try to save sunscreen. The air exposure will affect the SPF.

    Hi Kelly a skincare tip I got from Dr Dray that works great is benzyl peroxide wash for the sweaty areas and the feet. It really helped during my menopause flushing or after working out. I’m super dry with eczema but just targeted application to specific areas worked great to keep me smelling fresh and clean all day. The benzyl peroxide kills the bacteria that makes sweat smell so despite all the hot flushes I never had to worry about body odour. After working out or even just a really hot/humid day it also works wonders. I use my normal body wash elsewhere and for non sweaty days btw.
    Higher percentage urea cream is excellent for callouses and feet (15% and upwards), but 10% is great for the rest of the body. As stated I have eczema and it really helps with dry patches left after a flare has healed.
    Concealer and dry skin under the eyes can be difficult to look good. I apply my eye creams within my skincare and under my spf as usual. Once it’s all settled in I apply another layer of eye cream as an undereye primer before concealing and it has changed my makeup game. Looks so much more hydrated and smoother under my eyes. Best wishes x

    I love learning new tips, thank you Kelly!
    I use a drop of facial oil in my foundation. It really helps it look flawless. I learnt this tip from Wayne Goss, make up artist.
    I always use a small amount of a Urea based cream mixed in with my hand cream. My hands will feel more hydrated and less greasy. I also put in a tiny amount of Aquaphor as well if they are really dry.
    Retinol on the backs of my hands at night is a game changer. I’ve been doing this for a few years now. All my sun spots have faded and no creepy skin. At 54, my hands have never looked better.
    My final tip is a small amount of Kerasal cream rubbed into my cuticles at night. No more dry, peeling cuticles❤️

    I bought fine mist bottles from Amazon to keep all my toners/essences in. Much better than cotton pads or product dropping off your hand!

    • @neen42
      @neen42 3 місяці тому

      I'm glad this works for you! Funny enough, i cant stand mist bottle for toners/essences - i like to flood my skin with 5-7 thick layers. I also have a small face, so mists tend to go into my roots and reactivates my hair products (crunchy roots). I can slap on those layers with my hands in no time - spraying one layer takes the time of putting on 3 or 4.
      I do have very dry, dehydration prone, skin that can absorb tons of product. Basically, a sponge. But i also dry out like a sponge as well...

    Great tips! I never thought of a lot of these, especially using the sunstick for hands and was always confused about wait times between layering. I always just used sticks on my neck and chest, as using regular sunscreens get white streaks on my clothes. I also always cut open my products to use every last bit and wash my hands between layers.. I have dry skin and only found very few clay masks that work, which are the beauty of joseon red bean mask and the Isntree mugwort calming mask. I never thought to use milk toners underneath, will try that next time

    I been putting peptide serums on my lips then Vaseline. My lips look so much better. Plump and less dry. I have small lips and not young so I thought it was just my age. But I do this and my lips look and feel better. I noticed that P&L and Biossance now have peptide lip products. They are not cheap.
    I wish I started using sunscreen sooner and on my hands too.

    Great video, Kelly! Thanks ❤. I apply sunscreen on my hands the same way I apply a hand cream: on the backs of my hands only. I hate that sticky suffocating feel that any product gives you on hand palms. I also need to wash/rinse after each toner or serum 😊

  • @simbryce4475
    @simbryce4475 3 місяці тому +1

    First step to getting everything from your tube products - grab right from the very edge (not the cap end) and give it a vigorous shake from side to side. You’d be amazed how much this shakes down and how much is actually left in the tube (Tina Tanaka Harris has an excellent old video on this process and other tips). Later, cut the tube open closer to the cap end so that you can more easily fit the two bits back together if there is more than one application left in your tube. Toothpaste squeezers are also excellent to squish out extra product from supposed empties. As for jars (and even the end of tubs), I have a set of small silicone implements with a spoon on one end and a spatula on the other which should be fit for almost all purposes. They vary in length of the shaft which is useful if you need to get to the bottom of something tall (like a mayonnaise jar as I also use them in the kitchen). Available for purchase on Amazon I expect. I got mine on Ali Express.

    Oh my! I LOVE my toners and essences. I am probably way too generous with my shakes and droppers but they feel so good and are so relaxing after a long day…probably my favorite part of my routine - morning and evening - probably do need to reduce. I don’t want to do the mist, so I will try to reduce and rinse hands in-between. Got the 5 layer cotton pads but haven’t used yet. I love your suggestions and reviews. ❤️🇨🇱❤️

    Kelly, one alternative that Dr. Dray gave is to choose toothpastes for children that do not have menthol, which is more irritating, and that tip of mixing my mosturiser with La Roche Posay Cicaplast, is very useful at night. A tip that I discovered from Dr. Sam Bunting is to use a lighter cream that has the active ingredients that interest you, for example I use Purito's panthenol cream and I use it as a serum and then on top I put a basic moisturizer for my skin type, it is a good tip for those of us who cannot find a serum for our skin type, because many times the serums are too watery for our skin type 🥰

    I got a cheap 12 pack of those soft reusable makeup remover cloths but don’t like to use it as directed because I can’t handle the drag across my sensitive skin. What I do like them for is to help remove a clay mask. But my favorite use has been to pat dry after using cleanser, a new clean one each time. It absorbs enough to leave my skin damp dry for skincare products.

      I got some SINLAND 8” x 8” white microfiber makeup facial clothes off Amazon (6 for $12) and they are SO soft and they don’t have that yucky microfiber texture where they grab your hands if your palms are dry or cracked even in the slightest? I’ve been loving them for the same reason, removing masks/makeup/oil cleanser, and they also have a lil loop so I can hang them up on my shower rack to dry before tossing them in the hamper after each use! Highly recommend 😌👌🏽

      I have it!
      I would say if you have other gadgets you’re good about using-like you use a gua sha regularly, use face masks almost daily, face roller, do lymphatic massages daily-basically if you’re already good at keeping a daily routine with skincare tools, it might be worth getting! You’ll only see results if you use it regularly, otherwise it’s just an expensive paperweight 😅
      I will also say if you don’t have any obvious “problems” you’re trying to treat (i.e. pores, fine lines, neck lines, looser/sagging skin, etc), you’re probably not going to notice anything amazing unless you’re taking some high quality before/after pictures 🤷🏽‍♀️
      That’s been my experience and I’ve had it since release. In hindsight I wouldn’t get it again because I haven’t noticed anything significant in terms of results (28F, pores main concern with minimal static forehead wrinkles easily treated with 2 tiny doses of Botox a year), but going back in time 8 times out of 10 I probably buy it again because FOMO and I like using it 😅

    I use kids toothpaste 😅 less irritating for my skin AND my tongue 🥵 *why is it spicy*
    Also LOVE the idea of mixing in a touch of Vaseline into a night cream! I recently tried this with the Beekman 1802 Midnight Milk sleeping mask I was already enjoying and YUMM 😍 happy to see this tip is Kelly approved!
    I also rinse my hands, palms specifically, and pat them dry with my “skincare towel” between layers, but that’s because I have sensory issues 😅
    My tip is that I wash my face in the shower, doing my final rinse with lukewarm water, and then I let my face AIR DRY! I do not touch my face with a towel! By the time I apply my body moisturizer and get over to my sink, my face has dried down enough to start applying toner but not so much that I get that “tight” feeling!
    And of course change your pillowcase every 4 days, flipping it every day to sleep on a fresh surface (first upside down, then flipping over and repeating). And if you’re breaking out on your chin, consider the tops of your sheets/comforter as a potential source 🤔
