I feel privileged to have called Mersea my sailing home growing up, amazing place. I was and still am a member of the West Mersea yacht club even though now I live 3000 miles away. A brilliant club. The way it should be. ( dabchicks is great too).W

To your point , Saskia Clarke, was an alumina of west Mersea ..........she did well!
There's a "not bad" GBR sailor that got her start right here: Saskia Clark (Women's 470, Silver Olympic medal in London, Gold in Rio) is from Mersea.
