This week I agree with the finalists. I felt like Emilioni Palmer had a more lively likeness, but I wasn't enamored of her leaving blobs of paint on the canvas.
I thought the paint blobs were fun. Very lively painting. The winner looked like Sargent, hard to complain about, but not as exciting. I also loved the dots. They definitely got the right 3.
Sue Perkins is absolutely insulting her artists by continuously and arrogantly moving around during her portraiture….does she not realise how important this competition is to them? Their work is being JUDGED against other artists who have more compliant sitters….how horrible that she cannot give the artists respect. I hope they draw her as a blurred blob!
