I paid my way through college, driving a Bull wagon, after finishing with my Bachelors @ aTm then, a second Bachelors, 2 Master, and a PhD, after retiring for the state department, I never wanted a high end sports car, like colleagues of mine, however I'd love to have this mini-flatbed or Mini Bull wagon. These are the most beautiful toys for a 53 year old man , who now teaches at UT Austin, TX, I don't card about a Lambourgini, or any other fancy sports car, howsever I love to have a mini rig ,like one of these. Additionally, it reminds me of my most difficult times, attending aTm full time, and driving a Peterbuilt conventional 425 cat, 13 spd, 48 foot x 96 inch Wilson full cattle pot. Those days made me the man I am today. You fellas have my deepest RESPECT. Gas Bless the Bull Hauler, and all the VERY BRAVE SOULS, WHO DRIVE THESE BEAUTIFUL RIGS. YOU FELLAS BRING FOOD, TO ALL FAMILIES TABLES DAILY, AND NEVER COMPLAIN , ABOUT THE DIFFICULT NIGHTS, AND MOST DANGEROUS ROAD CONDITIONS. AMERICA'S TRUE HEROS.
Fr I want one or at least get the specs to build my own or something this is exactly how I want my mini truck to look like probably not with the stereo tho but exactly to the T on how I want mine to look
This truck is a one off. It's not sold by any company. It's made by a private person at home in his garage, in his spare time. If you want one, you need build it yourself, our ask someone that have the skills and tolls to do it for you. That may be a retired mechanic/welder in your neighbourhood, that has some spare time, or you need contact a professional custom car builder. It would cost $50.000 to have a truck of this quality build by a company. Engine should be an old 6 cylinder petrol, to get the 'right' heavy diesel 'look a like' sound at low rev's. Engine/transmission will be nearly free if it's a used one, it is the ours to build the thing that will cost.
You can build one, but it's gonna take a long time. It might be under or a few thousand more than $10,000 to make one. But don't worry, if you have a strong heart and allot of dedication to build one, then go for it!
how much for one of these I want one so bad How much did i cost to build and can I get your diagram in what you went by to build yours ? did you do all the bending your self ?
Would you please tell everybody what engine is under the hood??? Showed everything twice in the video but not the engine...my guess from the looks of the wheels and sound it's powered by a VW engine?
as I can know who to contact for building one??? is that I'm interested in one the same but it is a international truck DuraStar I'm from mexico and congratulations on this beautiful truck
It's an older 6 cyl petrol engine. You don't get the correct 'heavy diesel sound' with a small diesel engine. Actuall 6 cyl petrol engines, with a bit modified exhaust come much closer.
I was inspired of the videos of this truck to start plans of my own build. Have collectet a couple of axles, transmission parts from a Japanese 4x4 pickup, and a 6 cyl petrol with a 5 speed manual from a 1990 300E w124 Mercedes. Will be a 379 Peterbilt daycab, and a dump body in the back. 15 inch rims. 195/80-15 tires. Well, time will show when I ever get started on this project:)
Rimrock300 i was thinking to use a pickup truck frame and build from there. Would love to build a peterbilt 389 or freightliner classic xl and use the cummins 4BT turbo diesel as the powerplant
I am pretty sure 6 bt Cummins would be too long for the scale of this Rig, and a 4 cylinder engine of any make would sound like all 4 cylinder engines do @#$%& $#!&%@. I think a 3 cylinder diesel would be the Go !!!
@@chrismurnane6389 the 6bt would fit fine notice i said slightly taller and wider aka increasing the scale size slightly im building my own "mini" semi project using a 40s ford cab
I just saw this truck at the bigrig show in franklin grove Illinois way cool someday I would love to have something like this, and agree with others saying don't show the banner if you don't want people calling it and also what you said about not wanting to hear from kids that's not nice, when I seen this at the big rig show in franklin grove Illinois it was by a orange Kenworth that says whiplash express im guessing that's who owns it as it had a different banner on it saying whiplash express

THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF A GREAT BUILD

These trucks are scratch built
So not in kitset
Nope. Back in.the early days, P.I.E spent 70,000 dollars building a Peterbilt cabover version (called The Mighty Might).
You can build one, but it's gonna take a long time. It might be under or a few thousand more than $10,000 to make one. But don't worry, if you have a strong heart and allot of dedication to build one, then go for it!
Are they road legal though?

Rakooy how much did this cost and did you build your own frame?
Could be. It's easier to build your own Semi Truck frame than a car frame. They are made out of Steel. There's plenty of Steel at The Home Depot.
How much does it cost I’m interested
How much did it cost?
What's the drivetrain consist of?
