I live in Illinois on the border of Iowa. There are many Trump supporters and unfortunately, Kamala. I believe the latter haven't heard her speak, on purpose! I grieve for my country as my husband and I met overseas as we both served in armed forces in the 1980s. I'm looking for a good God fearing church without agendas. No arminianism, Cessationist,nor pushing holy spiritual gifts above Jesus. I left RCC when heavily convicted. I'm 62 and tired of looking! No Calvary Chapels in the area. If anybody from my area has any ideas I would be glad to hear them. This church helped me immensely during covid and I attended the Easter service on the rooftop by Jack Hibbs, online! God bless!

The parents need to start standing up for their children. I think that God is going to hold us accountable for not standing up for our children, we know what is going on and even in secret. We know that people are afraid to speak up, even the teaches are afraid they will lose there job. Tell our kids we well stand with them, It has to stop.

In 1970 the Mennonite Brethren brought refugees from Viet Nam and provided them with cattle to sacrifice to their god of planting, so they could have a good harvest. They stood by consenting. In that moment the land dedicated to God became polluted. All hell literally broke loose after that spring. Followed by Rowe vs Wade and the sacrifice of children which further polluted the land... and the churches stood by consenting in their silence as the nation burned.

It is very concerning that this current administration condemn prayer and condemn Christians. God will not bless us if we elect a person who is anti-christian., anti-God, and anti-child. Look at Deuternomy, God punished his People who did not choose to do right and choose God. Trump acknowledges God, Harris does not.
If the Apostle Peter were running, it wouldn't matter. I believe that Trump's personal life is actually better than it used to be, but he's no longer standing up personally for his convictions. I would hope that he repents and accepts Jesus as his Lord and Savior. I will vote for him. Come soon, Lord Jesus!

@@jasonsinkewicz751 Exactly. I don't mean for it to diminish the overall message but I get bothered when I hear false interpretations of the analogies. I agree, Christ as our shepherd uses the rod and staff to guide and nudge us sheep that begin to wander astray. They are also used to beat the predators but a shepherd would never hit a sheep or break it's leg. "Spare the rod, spoil the child" is another one that I think was heavily misinterpreted as a thumbs up from God to beat your kids. The rod is the gentle guidance and correction of the Christian faith that you pass down to your children when raising them. Physical discipline is a widely debated topic and I don't have a position on it, but I know taking verses out of context is not a wise decision.

As much as some may hate Newsom, Harris, and other people in positions of power, we have to remember that absolutely NOBODY comes into power unless it is the will of God. When we prayed, "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" That's what He is going to do. In our lives, in our local communities, and in national and global leadership. His will is going to be done always because he is the Most High God.

We are all at different walks and levels in our walk with Jesus, I believe his message is more geared to newbies who NEED to hear what he preached. I know it can be a bit challenging to be patient with these types of sermons when one is a "old" Christian having walked with the Lord over thirty years already. My own pastor would preach on all of these sin issues including "back biting" and "gossiping" every so often because he knew all the newbies were struggling with these issues. I don't think Pastor Jack was trying to guilt trip anyone, just trying to let the younger ones know how important it is not to be dabbling in the sins mentioned! I always remember my dear pastor saying "Obedience brings blessings"! and it sure does!! God bless you!
