You have quickly become my favorite beauty reviewer! Love that your reviews are thorough but to the point- I really feel like I can trust your opinions. ❤️
This was so good! As always, you are so thorough! I really appreciate how you differentiate the concealers that work well in place of foundation vs the ones that are strictly for concealing and blemishes. Knowing how I want to use the product is huge when deciding what to purchase.
I’m so glad you liked the Haus Labs! I thought I was going crazy, because everyone was talking about the Tower28, which I hated! And I think the Haus Labs is one of the best concealers I’ve tried in a really long time!
Sweet! Just about to watch this....can there possibly be anything I'm interested in other than my (thanks to you😊) beloved Fitglow Beauty concealer? Suspenseful!
I’m so glad I jumped in and got the FitGlow a while back. C2.5 is a touch dark for me, but C1 is too light, so I mix them, and it’s perfect. I also got the Live Tinted in 20 and it is a very close second for me, as well. Both of them wear *so* well, and don’t look dry or crease on me. Thanks for covering the new launches. I always appreciate your reviews - they’re thorough but concise - the perfect combo, IMO! Also, I love that you aren’t afraid to say what doesn’t work for you - that is also really helpful. Thanks again, Kait! ☺️
Thank you so much. The way you do reviews is so commendable. You always talk about your skin and your preferences and instead of just saying everything’s great you say who it’s great for specifically. Informative and ethical! Will you be adding the Gucci concealer to this list of concealer reviews? Do you recommend the fit glow correctors be used under the concealers?
Thank you so much! I didn’t see the Gucci concealer launched until after I filmed the video, but I’m going to skip it because a lot of reviews say it dries to a powder finish and actually only has light medium coverage, which doesn’t suit my preferences :/ Honestly, I find the Fitglow correctors too thick because they’re the same consistency as the concealer, so they can end up being creasey. I find the Fitglow covers enough for me so I don’t need correctors. Don’t get me wrong - the formula of the correctors is amazing but layering it with the concealer is a bit heavy, and they don’t have a shade that matches me.
OMG I’ve literally been on the fence on literally all of these bc I have yet to find my perfect concealer. The struggle is absolutely real on light, cool toned base products. Kosas doesn’t have a shade for me and most companies just don’t get it right. It’s always orange/yellow.
Amazing review thank you! I want to try the live tinted, the shade actually looks like a great match for me! And I'd like a higher coverage one to cover blemishes
Kait, you’re my hero! Those texture/dry-down shots were SO helpful and really illustrated your earlier comments, especially on the new MUFE formula. 😳 I think the Haus Labs in 12R might end up being a good match for me, I’ll have to find a Sephora with stock so I can see/touch/feel. This was a great video, thanks!
OMG THIS VIDEO. I need a fuller coverage concealer for my under eyes because my baby doesn’t sleep a ton (and so neither do I). But I couldn’t get the Fitglow concealer to work - Until this video!! Thank you for sharing your tips!! I am so happy to find a way to get it to work and look like skin!
I just need to go by your recommendations and not listen to other influencers! After using the Tower 28 for a few weeks, I ended up at the same thoughts as you... creased on my eye lines after a few hours and just did not look good. And I love the Live Tinted (and enjoyed the Fitglow sample I got, but just couldn't stomach the price lol). Your swatches are always so helpful!
I’m in love with the fit glow concealer; it’s the only concealer I have ever tried that I do not have to powder. Every other concealer crease on me unless I powder.
This may be the most thorough video I’ve ever watched on YT! Thank you for the in-depth review. ❤ Did you try the Natasha D HG concealer? I finally caved during the Sephora sale since so many swear by it, but it’s not working as well for me as I anticipated. I’m going to try the Live Tinted!
Outstanding video, Kait. You researched and photographed all these so thoroughly! I'm still struggling to find a concealer for my under-eyes. All I have tried, regardless of formula, amount or placement, have looked unnatural on my genetic eye-bags. Live Tinted does seem like a very good contender if I just need one little dot to help with darkness. For blemishes, which, by the good graces of my dermatologist, are mild lately, I find Rdf Ethereal Veil or Salt NY Sneaky Balm to do well enough. (Fit Glow has a sample program, which is wonderful for cautious buyers!)
Juuust the video I wanted to see! I’ve been using the Fitglow concealer for 4 years and I’m on my 4th tube of it. The price is steep but I just can’t find anything quite like it! The Live Tinted one caught my eye so I’m definitely going to give it a try to add to my collection. ❤
😊Hah! All these other influencers searching the world for concealers... And we have THE ULTIMATE BESTEST 😊 in Fitglow 🎉 yay thanks to Kait!! ❤ I'm 72 with dry skin and LOVE the Fitglow -- I'm so happy to have found Kait and her help!! 🤩🥰😁 Thanks for your videos!! ❤🥳
I tried the Haus Labs in store and being a pale person with cool undertones I was thrilled to discover the palest rosy one (rosy 3) was a perfect match and actually pink/cool! I didn't buy it yet because I'm trying to use up some other stuff, but I am wondering how it does all over the face. I often just wear just concealer all over the face in spots where I need it the most and just blend. Thanks for the thorough reviews!
These detailed reviews are the best, thank you! And your swatches shown in different lighting are incredibly helpful. So although I really like the Kosas concealer, I hate the Tower 28. I may be the only person who doesn't think they're similar! They may both start off with a thinner consistency, but the Tower 28 dries down way too much and makes my under eyes look dry right after applying. The colors aren't good for me either, too peachy or something. The Kosas may crease on me a bit, but it stays more emollient. I swatched the Haus Labs in store and I loved its thick creamy texture, so I plan to try it soon, and although I keep buying the wrong color of the Live Tinted, that's also on my list.
Yes! I love the fitglow concealer too. Just not the price tag but because you barely need more than a dot, and it's filled with skincare, I'll deal with it. Lol
Great Video! Very helpful. If u liked the Kulfi texture they added to the shade range (finally) they now have more lighter shades, I thought it was weird to release one light shade 1 light med shade. The light med coco shade works for me but still they needed more shades.
No I didn’t see them until after I filmed this video, at least they weren’t on Sephora’s “just dropped” page so maybe they came out right after I filmed this :/ bit I did hear the new Gucci one is not great
I love the Live Tinted concealer product, but the brush applicator TOTALLY fell apart. At first, a few hairs from the brush applicator stuck out well beyond the rest of the hairs, forcing me to pull them out. Once I started to pull those hairs, the rest came out too. TOTAL fail. Am still using the product with applicator with NO hairs - completely bare. Such a shame about the the total packaging fail. I do like the formula.
Oh gosh, I had the opposite experience with the Haus concealer and I bought shade 12, too! It didn't cover my dark circles completely, so I'd say it's light-medium coverage. And it feels drying (not hydrating) on my dry undereyes. And it's not as pink as I'd like! It pulls warm in my opinion. 🤪
So I see your saying you like the live tinted concealer applicator so I’m curious if you still feel the same? I’d say half the reviews I read or more say the bristles fall out and they hate it. So curious if it’s still holding up for you!
I’ve never found a liquid concealer that isn’t dry under my eyes - my holy grail is Tarte Creaseless - it doesn’t settle, smooths my under eyes and is hydrating - but you only need a dot - people say it’s too thick and creases between they use too much - I hope they never discover it, but they already have a “new” Creaseless one - the og doesn’t have the highest reviews and is polarized, but the people who love it really love it for the reasons I mentioned.
This was super helpful! Out of curiosity, do you set the FitGlow, Haus Labs and Live Tinted concealers with powder to avoid creasing, or do they not crease without powder?
I always say if and when I use powder! So no :) I don’t ever set my under eyes because I don’t need to! Those three concealers are so long lasting on their own as it is. If I were wearing a slippy/stretchable concealer I’d need to powder, but I’d rather just use the better concealers that don’t require powder.
It’s actually unlike any concealer here. It’s quite fluffy in texture so I find that it fades very quickly. Medium coverage. Lovely airbrushed finish but I moved it out of my main makeup drawer now that I have better favorites. Givenchy also doesn’t make a goods jade match for me. But if you like medium coverage, it’s GORGEOUS
So helpful, thank you!! Two questions - have you tried the Kulfi in the newer, lighter shades or do you not like the formula? And do you have a preferred eye cream to hydrate your under eyes before applying makeup? 😊
Yep I like using the Kulfi concealer in place of foundation because it’s medium coverage and very blendable. Under my eyes it doesn’t have enough coverage and is too wet looking - for me. But if you like medium coverage then it’s a really nice concealer. I don’t use eye cream, I just use my facial moisturizer. I don’t think a separate eye cream is necessary
Thank you for the reviews! Have you ever tried the Dior Skin Correct Concealer (pre re-formulation)? That is my favourite and I'm wondering if you know how it compares to your favourite the FitGlow one? I have tried a crazy amount of concealers and am still looking for something better for me (best I've tried so far are the Dior one and the IT Bye Bye Undereye in the tube). I prefer full coverage with a dewy finish as well.
I kinda feel your pain with the shade ranges on some of these. I have light medium to medium olive complexion, and most of these don’t cater to me, as they are very yellow. From seeing how well Haus Labs did on you, I just bought my best shade (light medium 10). Next I’m going to try live tinted based on your review!
In your experience, does the fit glow concealer go bad quickly the way the Kosas one does? I’m intrigued by your description but clean brands that avoid preservatives always make me a little nervous..
Nope, I still have Fitglow products from 4+ years ago that smell and perform like brand new products, but tower 28 and Kosas products turn very quickly for me

Thanks! And I have NO idea. I remember a long time ago Bobbi Brown said she didn’t believe in concealers that have different undertones because a yellow concealer will always be the most brightening? Something like that. I wonder if that’s a reason, but I certainly don’t like that look on me - I just want a good shade match!
@@StateofKait I totally remember back in the day of early UA-cam there was always this emphasis on warmer or yellow tinted products under the eyes, yes! I hope brands get better with undertones. Currently my best match is from Nars! Depending on the time of year I could be Affogato or Vanilla in their concealers. I compared Affogato to the Tower 28 and Makeup by Mario in store the other day- crazy difference! Also not sure if you saw but Kulfi actually finally expanded their shade range and they have even lighter shades now!
Very helpful! Do you find the Fitglow and/or Live Tinted concealers to be non-comedogenic in your experience? (I know these terms like noncomedogenic have no legal definition but they can indicate a brand surveyed about it.) I hated the Tower 28 concealer. Sooooooo drying. I was very hopeful because the lightest shade is a near perfect skin tone match but the formula isn't for me. My only option is the new lightest shade of Glossier stretch but I would love at least one more option 😢
MUFE used to be amazing. It hasn't been the same since they discontinued their original face & body foundation and lift concealer. Nothing they've launched since then has worked for me 😔
Makeup by Mario looks WAY better set. I use huda easy bake pink powder and it looks airbrushed which is shocking because I have TEXTURED under eyes hunty
Kait thank you for all the work you do to bring us reviews on all of the new concealers, you are the best
Awwww thanks for acknowledging the work!
You have quickly become my favorite beauty reviewer! Love that your reviews are thorough but to the point- I really feel like I can trust your opinions. ❤️
Thank you so much!
I know this video is old but it is truly the most helpful concealer video I’ve ever seen. Thank you!
Thank you so much
I appreciate all the work that went into this video! This had to have been the most in-depth and helpful video on the internet 🥰
Thank you! I’m trying to keep this format with all of my videos moving forward. So glad you find it helpful.
This video was so helpful! Thank you for all the time and effort that was put into such a thorough comparison review!!!

Thanks for this thorough breakdown!! I appreciate your hard work ❤❤❤

YES! Thank you so much for doing this!

Exactly, cost per use probably evens out honestly because I use SO little of it
Thanks so helpful !
This was the best comparison and test. I’m still wondering about the ND and Gucci ones
Great Video! Very helpful. If u liked the Kulfi texture they added to the shade range (finally) they now have more lighter shades, I thought it was weird to release one light shade 1 light med shade. The light med coco shade works for me but still they needed more shades.

I agree, I was not impressed with Haus Labs or Tower 28, despite the hype. I LOVE the Live Tinted one though ❤
So interesting! Everyone I’ve spoken to has said they felt it was full coverage. Beauty is so subjective
So I see your saying you like the live tinted concealer applicator so I’m curious if you still feel the same? I’d say half the reviews I read or more say the bristles fall out and they hate it. So curious if it’s still holding up for you!
I haven’t had an issue with the bristles luckily. It’s still my second favorite concealer!
Kait, per your recommendation, Fitglow is the only concealer that this over 70 lady will ever use! Love your videos.
So glad you love it too!
Have you tried the new kosas concealer shades or Natasha denona? I use you as a shade reference so I was wondering. 😂
This was super helpful! Out of curiosity, do you set the FitGlow, Haus Labs and Live Tinted concealers with powder to avoid creasing, or do they not crease without powder?

Yes! I liked it at first but it dries down and made my undereyes look quite dry

Great in depth review! have you tried the natasha denona concealer, and if so what did you think of it?
I haven't, it wasn't on the 'just dropped' page on Sephora when I bought the products for this video :/

Hi! I was wondering... did you try the pat McGrath concealer?
Is it a few years old? If so, yes and it was a very yellow shade range and made my eyes look crusty lol
Yayyyy! Exciting 😍😍😍

Same
I found your friend on IG but it doesn't look like she has a pic of the tower 28 concealer swatches there, might it just have been a story?
It’s on one of her swatches highlights
This is soooo disappointing bc I loved the other make up forever HD concealer and I’m almost out ☹️☹️☹️☹️
Yeah the previous HD skin concealer was so much better :/
Makeup by Mario looks WAY better set. I use huda easy bake pink powder and it looks airbrushed which is shocking because I have TEXTURED under eyes hunty
That’s so interesting consider it dries down to be so matte!
We use a lot of the same shades and tower 28 DTLA is a pretty good match for me.
Yyyyyyyeyy 🎉🎉❤
