In an interview with Ian Asher (Moonlight coproducer) He said that they actually reached out to him when they were in the States to do the colab. Ian is a young and upcoming American producer and DJ who is half Filipino. It just happened that Terry the other coproducer was in town at the time. Ian said the song was kinda put together but SB19 created the catch verse about The Moonlight and it worked! These guys are hustlers, they work hard and have strong goals! We can never underestimate what they're capable of!
They performed this song on Finale concert Day1 with Apl de ap 😃 Me when first time heard it : "This song sounds like black eyed peas". Well obviously since Apl de ap is BEP member 😅 Josh cartoon portrait is from his look on pagtatag finale Soundcheck. The hairstyle and he wore that kind of sunglasses 😆 The beginning of the song, "Get ready for tonight..." was sung by all. Then Ken and Justin sang the first verse. "Are you ready for the lights... " Oh! And the way Josh sings "Lord have mercy". It's satisfying to hear it 😌 This song. Pablo and Josue (his brother) only contributed on adding final touches and subtle sonic elements.
It's good to see you all again! If you all want a good laugh, I highly recommend this compilation video titled "SB19 being SB19 (aka Chaotic)" by A'tin_Mahalima. 💕💕💕This song is very well suited to Aple de Ap's style of music and genre, and SB19 as versatile as they are, they are always willing to go out of their comfort zone , and as humble as they are, whenever they do a collab, you'll notice that they adjust their style for them and don't mind giving the spotlight to other artists... So if they are doing a collab song, expect that it may not sound as them because of the different style and sound but gives highlight to the other artists, based on my observation. They also love exploring and learning.. .... With SB19 you can have it all, from all types of genres, "tracks perfect for all occasions" 😄 that is why they have a diverse fandom... from kids to oldies, single to parents, girls to boys, introverts to extroverts, Asian to Western, name it!!! Cartoon Josh 😂 I totally get it! The drawing totally got Josh’s eye choreography, for sure. SB19 and APL DE AP performed this on Pagtatag Finale day 1. They didn’t do choreography, but just had fun onstage with air blaster thingies. This is SB19's collab era. This is probably one of their in-between songs (the other one is Moonlight), sort of like a teaser for their main EP coming up. And since they changed their profiles and the whole shebang, I'm pretty sure this will have an MV. This is one of those tracks that they decided to do to create their international presence and to prepare for Coachella (allegedly). Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of this song, but I'm 100% sure this track will translate tremendously LIVE, and with choreo? It might change into my favorite song lol ( Sb19 often rearranges the music of their song for lives, so I'm pretty sure this is one of those tracks where the studio version is the appetizer for the main course that is the live/performance version)

That he wrote a song for SB19 is mind blowing for me, especially coming fresh off the heels of a collab with Dara - who coincidentally had a collab with SB19 late last year. SB19 and its members are notorious for dropping singles and songs without notice lol. If they even give fans warning, it's hours or the day before, and often vaguely. i guess it's the perks of not being tied to major labels and having to coordinate with management, since they ARE the management. Pablo almost always drops his singles with no notice whatsoever, just uploads it and is done with it. He's such a mess of a CEO lol
This is my first time hearing this also, and what I've noticed to this and their other international sound type of songs is, it feels weird when I hear SB19 singing an international type of songs that has international sounds in it..It feels lacking..
