Always gonna be haters, I hear unbiased honest knowledge in our discussions and on this channel.
I've learned over the years how to quickly discern how much audio knowledge someone has very quickly in a conversation.
    Great video

I've been watching UA-cam videos for over 20 years.
This one had wide soundstage, sparkling detailed treble, impactful full base, luscious mids.
See you in my comment next week when I say the exact same goddamn thing in an even fruitier shirt.

Could you do a video on your Infinity RS1B? Thanks

I no longer have them , but I can for sure elaborate about them in a video if there is interest for that.
      Thanks

I didn’t come to and subscribe to this channel because I wanted know it alls lecturing me on my stupidity.
I am here because I am a fan of quality audio. I am seeking knowledge and to share the love of this hobby. I can learn from people with a difference of opinion. Not one of the videos I watched was a personal attack.or preachy. They are a personal perspective.
It’s a nice Change of pace from all the other channels.
I have a substantial amount of money in my equipment because it gives me the sound I want. It doesn’t matter if others approve. For most of the people that ask my advice I would not suggest my set up for various reasons. It’s personal taste.
Now if you say you want a Dodge Ram over a Chevy Silverado, we got issues
    Have fun people

In that perspective, to make my point even more valid about today social media audio "influencers"
I watched a video yesterday, about the chi fi tube amp "willeston"
It's hailed by the influencers as a amplifier of the year. Tons of fictive awards , and reviewed by many as the best bang for you tube desired money.
Look up skunkie engineering, he put that amp on an oscilloscope and measured the thd and really went diving into the amplifier. Conclusion?
The worst amplifier he ever measured, it was so bad even. That he's telling his customer I won't touch it to do anything to it. He showed at 6watts between the left and right channel nearly a double percentile of distortion between the channels.
Very questionable build quality and according to him "should have gotten the award for worst amplifier of the year bar none."
It just shows how easily people are blinded by the big guys out there. Imagine you wasting 1k on an amp like that . Totally believing you bought something decent. These type of channels I am mentioning here. Are people that don't just share their subjective input. These are people , that you bring your gear too, to be modified and/or brought back to life (technical understanding of what it is they get their hands on)
And that's very relevant, once you get to those type of channels. That's gold! You're then armed with not just an opinion, you actually have a good understanding what your money is actually buying.
I can learn from opinion aslong as there is some critical thinking behind that opinion.
The worst part his channel has maybe 23k subs ? All the while the glorified sales men have 250k subs ! Crazy to me, but that's the world we live in. Most people buy with their eyes. And I AGREE with you , it's not relevant what someone else thinks of what you're doing. But I do take a slight stance against people like the cookie cutter "influencers" that snag their own subscription base. For a product that in the end isn't even that great!
Do your research, read some basic engineering books and understand what it is you're buying. Do some foot work, not just that you learn so much on your own. Which to me most definitely benefits you on the long run.
And I have a custom 96 Silverado as my daily driver so we are absolutely golden there my friend hahahaha

@@MichelLinschoten I do not have, nor want, my own UA-cam channel. I unfortunately live in an audio desert in my geographical area and in my social circles. So, when I decided to go down this path of putting my system together, I sought information. Being nearly 60 years old, I have zero technical knowledge of electrical engineering. What I have acquired is a very healthy sized dose of cynicism and it has served me well.
That brings me to the point of measuring equipment and determining if its good by measurements alone. It's a very similar topic like the one you did on vinyl purists. When you're on this side of UA-cam consuming and not producing, the comment section very quickly turns into a cesspool filled with conflict. Somewhere between ChiFi or die and Audiofool is where I fall. I am going to throw a very well-known and liked brand under the bus here. JBL has a storied history of making great speakers that has an almost cult like following, especially while playing classic rock. I do not discredit anything about them. By all accounts JBL is a good company and worthy of its fame. I personally have just never gravitated to their sound. I thought that way about Infinity. If back then they had measurement reviews to the level of today, it would matter zero to me if JBL measured better, I would always pick the Infinity. There is no instrument that measures what sounds good in my head. (yeah, bitches that's right, I'm a "Golden Ear" boy)
Conspiracy theories start somewhere so why not here with me. After getting into a few forums it quickly was apparent to me my biggest problem was the ChiFi or die crowd. Not only are there channels shilling under the cover of review, (some openly admitting it because they are not ashamed to make money) but I believe with every fiber of my common sense that there are paid shills hiding in the comment sections trying to sway the opinion in favor of a few specific measurements to promote cheap being equivalent to quality. Any descent from that view is met with absolute hostility. This is very much true with trolls coming to this site to criticize its content if the monolithic thought doesn't fall in line. Erins Audio Corner is the only channel that has explained in layman's terms what affect a measurement will have on sound. Seconded by GR Research. But neither could tell me if I'm going to like the sound.
This hobby should not be a dick measuring contest. It should be fun for the appreciation of sound.
