I love everything you do mate. I need to know how you make that sound, I can’t figure out how to create something similar. I know you use analogue to make a lot of your stuff but I’m trying to find a way to design it on a digital synth, if anyone has any tips I’d be grateful.
Hey! I've been trying to wrap my head around his sound design for a while too. I find, that a lot of the Drone Logic album sounds might be made with phase dispersion, especially in Naive Response. If you can't find anything 'phase dispersion', you can try searching phase rotation, tonal delay, and just look into phase modulation in general. The similar but dissonant sounds could be just precisely controlled frequency modulation and sharp resonant filters. You can try movement as well, but it might land the sounds closer to 303 -ish. Still, digital synths might sound too crisp, so... filters and distortion are essential. Hope this helps and hope you discover some cool synths! ;)

I’ve tried most methods of frequency modulation and messed around with resonance, there’s not much I could get from it that sounded similar to Averys genius work. I even purchased 2 analogue synths in the last month trying my best to achieve this sound... however I will certainly take a look into phase dispersions, thanks for the heads up and taking time to share some advice bro!
