    Hello, I just put the ghost on my Ranger boat and saw your video.
    I see that you mounted the compass puck real close to the motor and the graph? I have seen another video stating he had interference with the Lowrance live graph and the compass?
    I am trying to determine where to mount my compass and seeking info before mounting it. Are you experiencing any interference problems?
    Thanks

      Hey Paul!...yea no prob, I have zero issues at all with my location, no interference whatsoever...I’ll keep the channel updated if anything happens but it’s been a few months now since I installed it and no problems at all!...thanks for watching!

    What is it that you mounted right behind the head of your trolling motor? Looks like some type of screen. Thanks.

      Hey Chuck!...yes sir, that’s my iPad Pro mounted on a Ram Mount...I use it to mirror one of my 12’s from the console and view my mapping on it...that way I don’t take up any space on my HDS Live for mapping...hope that helps!

      @@NitroZ18Fishing wow. That’s great. So will it mirror anything that the sonar has on its screen? Which Ram mount is that? Thanks.

    • @NitroZ18Fishing
      @NitroZ18Fishing  3 роки тому +1

      yes sir, anything you show on the graph that you're mirroring will show up on the iPad...you can actually even control the screen from iPad, it's a great feature...the cradle is the Tab Lock from Ram, I had it on a 6" arm and a series C Ram Ball...let me know if you need any other info!

    Not funny understanding, you say in the video you have the power off , the your son turns it on . What’s stops the prop from turning ? I know the top left of pedal has a on / off button done’s that stay off ? Is the power button your son pressed the one under pedal? I don’t won’t to accidentally have the prop turn .

    whats a good video for the 3rd calibration? i'm still having issues after doing both bow offset and heading sensor calibration.

    • @samporterbass
      @samporterbass Рік тому

      Contact Lowrance and ask them to email you the calibration steps for the foot pedal. That should be done first (if needed), then bow offset, followed by heading sensor. Also, per Lowrance, you're supposed to use the big motor for the heading sensor calibration, not the trolling motor. If you've performed the bow offset and the heading sensor calibrations and your motor isn't stowing correctly, you need to start over with the foot pedal configuration. Hope that helps.

  • @Whodatt999

    Good video. One thing to add - since Lowrance issued that service update on rewiring the Ghost foot pedal, a few people have had to replace the CPBA control board inside the foot pedal. When you do this, you have to do the Foot Peal Calibration. Just an FYI.

    Thank you So much. My brother just put one on his boat. Were just some rookies 😂. I asked him who put the motor on and if they calibrated after i saw your video. He said he put it on and dont know anything about calibrating. Lol. I was at a little bass tourney last week and try to spot lock and this thing was all over the place like it was lost which i think it was. I will calibrate it once i hit the water again.

      @@NitroZ18Fishing I calibrated my Ghost but when I hit the anchor button it takes me off the spot I anchored wanted and then after a bit it will go to it. Spot lock in my opinion on the Ultrex seem much simpler and quick.

    Great video. I just installed my Ghost, however the prop will not spin while stowed. It has power to foot pedal and all connections are made. Will it only operate while deployed? I’m used to my old Motorguide. Haven’t had a chance to take it to the lake yet…

      @@NitroZ18Fishing Does it have anything to do with the sensitivity setting as you increase speed? I wish that could be adjusted, if your moving at 8 or 9, you barely move it and it jumps to that direction. My Minn Kota was a lot smoother when running it at the higher speeds. Thanks... I've watched some videos that indicated that the puck can get electromagnetic interference if installed too closely to electrical sources. Mikey Balz Fishing has a video that shows a guy installing his and using an app on his phone to find electronic interference. I used the app too when I installed mine, and you'd be surprised on how much and where that interference is. Just a thought!
