full G-Max adjustable hi-lo kit with heavy duty adjustable tie rods.

13x10 deep dish superlights.
sports pack arches.
Mamba bucket seats.
h4 headlights.
clear front indicators side repeaters and new clear rear light clusters.
85-90 bhp.

Ive owned 15 minis in my time. My first was a 1973 GT1275, Aussie Assembled..sweet car.

And I've heard that's what they're like to drive, I really want to get a mini, but there's two obstacles in my way, the price of a good one with no rust or a small amount, and my mum won't let my buy one because of the lack of safety features on them :( and with the mechanics of the car, they're basic and easy to work on, rather than a new car where you need a bloody laptop to even know where to start, but thanks for your advice! Really appreciate it

My first car was a 1000cc Mini. It was ten years old when I bought it. The car hit 80 mph. But 80 mph in a small car like a Mini, when you are so low to the ground, well this feels like Warp Speed !!

its pretty rare to see one that isn't modified, as in what is was like new. And if you do find an original they are extremely expensive 10 grand+. And the whole point in minis is to tinker with them, make them faster/handle better
If you have a 998 cc mini which has done let's say 60,000 miles and then you put 1380 into it do you then have to get a new speedometer to show the exact mileage of the new engine ?

I used my gopro hero, same as I use for my mountain bike vids :) came with a suction mount that works perfect on cars

What's the cost of getting the engine bored to 1380? Mines a 1298 and I want to stay a series but get over 100 brake and a 1380 is the best way to do so from what I've heard?
I bought it already bored out to 1380 so I'm not the best guy to ask really. I'm sure there are loads of forum posts about it. I don't even have a mini engine anymore, went Honda vtec swap lol

its like driving a go kart on the road lol. srs you cant go wrong with a mini for your first car. Im so happy i sold my first car and bought this :) also you'll learn a lot about cars by owning one and everyone will think your cool xD

Instead of braking, change down into third on corners, makes for a better drive and means you can accelerate out of corners better.

Sounds nice but could I suggest maybe retorxing your tappets and adding an oil additive to make it run and sound that a but better
Nope I would have to remove my rear seats for that, would rather have passengers there. + its currently at Watson's garage having a vtec engine put in it (the B18c6 from a integra type r to be precise) :) will defo do some vids of that when its done

Thanks man, my mini is nothing like this now haha. Have a vtec engine in it :3 But the arches are just Sportspack Wheel Arch's. You can get them from loads of places, check minisport and minispares for starters. Hope that helps

:D with the new vtec engine I've gone 120mph and it was still pulling strong. But I was too scared to go any faster xD

Awesome Mini! Couple of questions, are you using spings or cones and what size tyres are they on them minilights?
Check out my newer videos. My mini is nothing like this now lol. I've still got cones on the back and currently I have 13"x7 wheels.
Awesome thanks mate, do they cover the wheel fully at the top because here in oz if any of the wheel is showing from the top it can't legally be put on the road and they're some pretty fkin fat ass rims haha

Yeh it was the stock a series engine but modified. Atm its at Watsons getting a Honda Vtec B18 engine fitted :)

+mattpurves Thanks dude! This is a really old video. All the specs are in the description, thats what I bought it as. Ive now got a honda B18 type R engine in it. Had that done like 2 1/2 years :P
+BenXL oh ok :), in the description it says full system, assuming meaning exhaust. Trying to find the best way to create that noice to finish the mini off :)
+mattpurves Best thing to do is remove the cat if it has one. And if its pre 1992 its legal hehe Or get a bigger diameter exhaust
Your "mods" description is a little off... Kent doesn't make a 268 cam for the A series motor. I'm assuming you meant a 286? And those absolutely are not 13x10" wheels. looks like 13x7's to me.
I took that all from the list when I bought it. But my car is nothing like that now. Now I have a b18 honda vtec engine with completely different wheels etc

What does everyone think of the Gmax Hi lo and damper kit? It's on ebay for £130 and think i might get it, seems lots cheaper than the Gaz shocks

Depending on who makes the kit, you could probably get up to 20bhp extra. Also depends on whether it is Fuel injected or not.
i said up to and yes, it is entirely possible. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend and where it is legal/being driven. A kit for america can be different to a kit for the UK. Some stage 1 kits aren't just an air filter. New gaskets, spark plugs, At least 8 or 9 components. Just depends on where you get it from...

Looks damn cool, but you could use some weber carb or twin SUs to make it more responsive. Even thought HIF 44 is quite enough and saves fuel ...

BenXL Will do. However I've read that with that much power it was quite a hard treatment for the chassis, and some people were very afraid when they drove it. How do you feel?

BenXL no problems with the engine after 5 years of running it in the mini? Where did you get your subframe from? Is it a b18c4 what you've installed?
It was a B18c6 but I span a bottom end bearing a year or so ago going around a track. So the bottom end now is a B18c4 with c6 head.

haha brilliant ok mate. When I had my minis round Chesterfield in the 90's there was this blue Clubman owned by a Ben..... I never got to say hello or have a look at it but I got to race him once through town... hehe (he won) my 1275 was worn out the poor thing.. Cheers

It's an old car so quite bad. Better if you do an engine swap as I did lol. Still very easy to fix stuff.

yeh its a honda motor, bout 200hp from the 85hp it is in this vid. so will a 1/4 mile in bout 14.5 secs
£6,100 just be weary if the advert says no rust actually get it checked over before you buy. Thats where I went wrong. Had to pay out a couple of thousand in garage fees for it to pass its mot
