Unfortunately I‘ve got banned for that day because the car is too loud. (Over 130DB)

Such a beautiful car! Is there an instagram page that goes with it? I also own a 3.4 but I am long way from tracking it. Cool stuff

@@blocheadz I‘ve got an instragram page, but it’s not dedicated to my 996. unfortunately there is nearly no content about that because I don’t have time to post about it. But that’s a nice idea and I will try to find some time for the.
      It’s @auto_motive_germany

Your bank 2 reached over 120 degrees celsius before you even took off, I hope you're aware of that

I don’t know what kind of problem you have? The temperature management works absolutely fantastic. It’s always below 100 degrees Celsius.

That is a lovely 996.1 C2 you have there, red interior in a black car is not so common. It also sounds really good.
Regarding the temps, as long as it stays cool it is ok, you can do some mods for beter temp (highflow waterpump, low temperature thermostat, thermostat re-allocation, other tempsensor in between the radiators, bank 2 gets a lot hotter than bank 1)). As long as oil pressure does not drop below 1.2 bar when coasting it is ok in my opinion. Thicker oil (10w60) can be wise if you track it from time to time

Sounded good - too bad they banned you! I wish I could bring my 996 over and drive there!

9:44 check your oil pressure. This is why you should not track stock 996 Carreras

What? This is normal behavior while load change in combination with the slow gauge. Have you driven a 3.4 and checked it yourself?

@@auto-motivegermany446 This might be normal to you because these engines do not have a dry sump and do drop in oil pressure at higher g-forces. But it is far away from normal, good and healthy if you take a bigger view at this issue. 2 bar of oil while on high load and rpm is bad.
I own a 996 4S with the 3.6 X51 engine. It runs 10W60 only. My idle oil pressure when the engine is properly warmed up is 2 bar! I am already reaching 4 bar midway through 3k rpm. I am always keeping an eye on the oil pressure and have never experienced oil pressure drops like these in your video. There are 2 main reasons for that: 10W60 oil and X51 oil pan. But even with these things, I would still not trust this engine on track days until the point a X51 Deep Oil Sump, which adds even more oil capacity, and Accusump is installed. Another point to mention is oil level. Take a look at this image: prnt.sc/oudk3TqK2z5Y

It is completely normal behavior when you release the throttle and then start to accelerate again. Have a 996.2 myself.

@@aviniiI think you are misjudging the drop in oil pressure.
When warm the idle pressure is around 2 bar also. The pressure increases with fill throttle and higher rpm’s.
When go for quick load changes, like I did in this corner, you can see the gauge acting similar in your 3.6.
so there is nothing strange happening.
Also this is far away from „hard racing“.
It was a extremely slow warm up lap to check for any wet spots, getting the tires heat a little bit and explaining the track to my brother in law.
The second lap was planned to be a quick one, but unfortunately I was banned for that day because the exhaust was too loud.

A hertech sump and center radiator will help 👌🏾
