Loved this IOWA. Especially the slow motion sequences. Where is that little boy's family now. So poignant. Great stuff. Just wonder how anyone could actually discard this tin of memories.
A great film. Someone has obviously gone to immense trouble (and expense), plus it's still in great condition. This is the first one I've seen with slow-motion footage.
One of the best yet matey. (In my opinion.) All that footage from the side of the ferry.. He could at least of given us a look at the ferry & a tour around it.. 😆 Selfish bugger.. Good bit of slow motion & editing.. I wonder what software he used? 🤔
What astounds me about these old home movies is that current family members have let them out of their ownership. How many of the people pictured have living descendants?
how true . it is a shame that people discard this sort of thing . but to me these films should not be discarded and left to disintegrate , they must be preserved , and as of yet nobody has recognised anybody in any film .when I first view them I think , this is somebodies , father , grandfather , child etc .some of these are my own family , some are bought .of course if anybody does recognise their relatives I would gladly donate a copy of the film to them .
I were thinking the same thing. The little boy would have been about the same age as my Mum & his parents my Grandparents. Such a pity that no one knows who they were. A brilliant film. The last few carefree years before all hell broke loose in 1939.
Where do you find these films. ? my friend rob use to do this kind of thing taken old films out of the metal can and he said that they can just ignite into flames and the hole film is ruined, he was floor manager for the BIG BREAKFAST , , i take my hat off to you me ole mucker great film, i could donate jeffiow left ear if that's any good for you, lol,
These films are awesome, love the old yachts and boats :)
