I missed HTC. Still have the HTC One M8, and the HTC U Ultra in my drawer. Thank you for disassembling this, barely anyone does any videos with HTC anymore. Just a note though, I'd recommend re-rating the Availability of parts as it has been barely a month and a half of its annoucement, give it a few more weeks and you'll be able to find replacement parts. Once again, great review!
You're welcome, and thanks! As for the parts rating, I am aware parts usually aren't available at launch, but in general due to the decline of smartphones from HTC over the years, parts aren't as widely available even after release as say parts for Samsung or Motorola phones. Even months after, it will be a struggle finding certain parts and the only option would be to send it in to HTC for repairs if you reside in the country you purchased the device from. Some parts will show up yes, but not all parts so based on those issues, I gave it a score accordingly.
Glad to see HTC back in business again. I have no problem with plastic back, but a bit worry about overall perception. The SD 7 is fine as well for me (even happy with Dimensity 700 on my Samsung A22 5G) . Hope this phone will sell well
@@PBKreviews I just stumbled upon this model. It has some "old school" features that tickle me in a funny way. Though I think they should've concentrated a bit more on quality over quantity on the camera section. One thing I'm interested is how does this record audio. Seeing the almost symmetrical placement of the microphones makes me happy. Reminds me of the old PureView days with it's HAAC -mics on the sides that would really capture the stereo image when held by both hands.
Hey! But apple said me that it's impossible to have sd card and headphone jack, how is a dead company like HTC doing it!? Jokes apart, thanks for the great video as usual. I am sorry I dont comment in all of your videos, as I feel a bit lazy.
Hi, thanks for the great video. Very similar to other HTC phones to disassemble, but nice to see it done properly. Can you recommend a parts supply seller that ships to UK. I would like to get a replacement screen for this phone, but cannot find any from my usual suppliers or on the internet.
I used to love HTC phones. But I stopped purchasing them when they became almost impossible to open and change the battery. I've gone for Fairphone now, love the repairable modular concept
HTC used to be even more difficult with the earlier models with so many wires going to different places and the design internally was just bad. But they improved a lot towards the later years. Yup Fairphone is definitely easier to take apart and repair.
Hello :) @PBKreviews i'd like to ask you about camera glasses of U23 pro. I read that the camera of this smartphone is easily scratched. Do you know something about this?
Hi, not sure. Usually the glass lens cover are made of types of glass which are scratch resistant, or other materials, but its possible they didn't use a scratch resistant glass. I didn't test it out to know on this phone.
Can I ask a question I need to remove the lens covers I bought a second hand htcu23 and two of the lens covers have finger prints on the inside Do I need to remove the back to do this
@@PBKreviews wow thanks for your reply, I'm curious if HTC has adopted the same of U23 Pro's 4600mAh battery🔋,they still use 4600mAh,not 5000mAh.Btw I switched to Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra from HTC U23 Pro last year🤣
@@YRR_J - Apparently the bottom speaker and the phone speaker at the top play at the same time, giving stereo performance, when playing music at least. Weird though that HTC didn't give the full blown stereo speaker setup that they're known for on this phone. If you're only releasing one phone every year or so, small details like that are important. I don't think that it would have added that much more to the production costs.
I don't have good smart phone .i have 1gb 32gb SYMPHONY BD smart phone .you give me one good smart phone for watching your all YT content and other plse .can you help me??
Any video about HTC makes me happy

We haven’t seen an hTC phone for quite some time now.

It seems like you can't remove the screen?
If possible, can you post a tutorial on how to remove the screen?

Is there a vapor chamber under the screen?
Yes, it can be seen @7:24 in the video.

i'm guessing you could only fit a microsd card or sim2, not both at the same time?
yes, one or the other, not both at the same time.
Ufs 2.1 or 2.2 using
I'm not 100% but I think its 3.1
