Evan needs to do some kind of podcast bc I've watched him for almost 10 years and still know very little about him compared to others in the group. It's also just interesting to hear him talk when he's not trying to record, and is just in casual conversation.
I don't know if he can do that. I remember Nogla discussing about a Alpha Beta meeting, Vanoss was there but he was extremely uncomfortable. Nogla said Vanoss immediately left when he was done and was shocked when Vanoss called him and said he was already outside

he answered that, copyrights issues. I believe the creator of "blame it on alcohol" went after Evan for using the song and that's why they are all private or deleted as he mentioned

Same for me, I wondered why SOME older videos would still have their comment sections but others wouldn't. Now at least I know it was Vanoss doing it and not the newest broken bot that UA-cam introduced.

I’m 99% sure he mentioned at one point removing comments due to copyright issues etc. idk how comments would affect it but I noticed it was on videos that used the copyrighted song bud light etc from very old videos

@@TheMeditorEditor that and all types of engagement (comments, likes, shares, etc.) drive up the chance of it being suggested in the algorithm to viewers, and when that happens there's a more likely chance that the bot will strike it for either copyright or demonetization, and when that happens it can be a huge headache for the UA-camr involved. This explains why you have to go out of your way to find Vanoss' old videos, only his newer stuff gets recommended to viewers.

I just wish he knew how proud we were of those old videos... I don't really care about the comments but the fact that it doesn't seem he realizes how much those videos meant to us is sad and I hope someday he'll find out

I always thought those sound effects were super nostalgic and charming. Obviously they might not hit the same now but it just reminds me of when I'd laugh endlessly at clips like from that old gmod vid where they were trying to build a sled with bathtubs and it glitched out and flew away only to come back and kill them. I personally think Evan should be proud of how far he's come instead of being embarrassed.
clips like this make me appreciate Lui more. usually when streamers get questions for another people (in this case, Vanoss), some streamers would divert the question or not answer the question at all. I understand that it can come out as being disrespectful for the one streaming, but in this clip, I appreciate that Lui lets Vanoss give his answer

iirc there was a phase when everyone did this on older edgier videos because for some reason it stopped them getting taken down when UA-cam would fuck people over for the first millionth time and retroactively strike videos

I miss his old BO2 videos. It what i grew up on when i was 10 years old and its what originally got me into Vanoss and the rest of the guys. I understand that he had to remove them due to copyright but im pretty sure most of the time it was mainly the outro, so couldn't he just edit out the outro on the youtube editor? And when he said he finds some of those videos embarrassing and cringe, i understand because every one of us does when looking back at our own old stuff, but imo i think it shows evolution and how much he's changed and improved over the years. I wish those vidoes become public again at some point in the future

I noticed this with the iconic OG Matrix video. I'd assumed he disabled the comments in that video in particular to avoid or reduce backlash over Nogla saying the F-slur.

How does disabling comments fix the copyright issues on those videos?
Its likely the alternate solution, compared to taking down the whole video itself or taking out the part thats copyrighted.

by copy right issues he means that he had to remove some part of the videos in which he would disable the comments cause he didnt want people to comment on it

on top of the copyright stuff he mentioned i feel that a vast majority of his comments on the older videos are from older nostalgic fans wishing somehow the content stayed the same. a lot of it just comes from the reality of interests changing overtime. it seems like vanoss is at that point in youtube where he's done everything and u kinda get bored vibes from him.

I get that he does find some of those old videos embarassing, but to me it's just sad that he outright deletes them. The humour might be a bit cringe and outdated, but in my opinion cringing at that has some humour as well. It's kinda charming and a staple of early UA-cam culture. Ah well, I understand why though.

- Are you going to do anything for the 10 year anniversary?
One big thing that comes to mind on this is one of his GTA videos, of when they were using the rocket bikes to get up Mount Chiliad, and Wildcat calls Nogla a "faggot" when Nogla blew up his bike. You can find the clip on UA-cam somewhere but in Vanoss' video, he had to cut that part out. Some people took it (back when it first happened) as them sanitizing themselves, but we've seen recently that Vanoss in particular doesn't care what Twitter has to think about him, so they're obviously not worried about being cancelled. In reality I just think it was, as he implied in the video, just something he (and Wildcat) weren't very proud of looking back on it so they removed it so it didn't cause issues further down the road. I'm gonna respect it either way, because the memories I had of watching his older videos in middle and high school won't change. UA-cam can censor the present but they can't censor the past!

They wanted to be recognized on their own and cracked down on the copyright stuff. Or so I’ve read lol.
