I am really glad to have found you! I appreciate the way you take the time to thoroughly explain each step, and show us what you are doing. Now, after watching this video, I feel I can successfully create my future first granddaughter a beautiful blanket using this stitch! Thank you so much!
Just surfed and found your videos. You are an AWESOME teacher! I have made the slouch hat already and so has my daughter. My daughter even made one of the flowers to put on the hat. Girl- we are DEFINITELY going to be making MORE of the projects! Thank you SO MUCH for teaching us!!! I will post you a pic of them....~Chrysi and LillyAnna (my daughter)
thanks for doing this tutorial. I am a crocheter and bought the circle looms about 2 years ago and the 36 peg rectangular loom (red). I have only made a scarf and a hat. I just started using the circle looms a few months ago when someone started making The Hexagon blanket. I saw someone making the Honeycomb stitch and thought it would be cool to make so I typed that in youtube and your videos came up. Great job teaching, thanks
@Galligsgirl Thank you for getting back to me. I just started loom knitting a couple months ago and have made so many things. Your videos are awesome. I love how you take the time to show us exactly how it should look as you are going around. A lot of videos they just expect you to know how to do it and it is very hard to learn. So thank you so much again for getting back to me and the awesome videos. Oh and I love the slouchy hat one. I made one for my niece and she LOVES it!!! ")
Thanks for being so thorough. I am a visual learner also, and it is so nice that you make long tutorials so that I can really get it as Ruth Marie stated.
I agree with May Olson. I'm a very visual learner. You are a very good teacher for me and others who also are visual learners. Your tutorials are long enough to actually GET what you are telling us. Thanks Much!!!
You are amazing. This is great. I know how hard it must be to show this and have to work in the angels that you do. Very very good tutorial. You have come a long ways since the first one I saw. They can only get better and better. Thank you so much for your time and talent.
Hi Virginia, I really love this stitch. You explained it well and have made me want to try it out on the long loom. I have been using the round looms a long time and really haven't wanted to try the long ones. Thanks for this video. :) I have seen some of your other videos too and have bookmarked them so I can try them out later. Take care
This is the proccess before taking it off. Remember what I did in the beginning when casting on? You need to do that again to "close the box" at the end before taking it off. Does this help?
I put up two pics on your fb page of the slouchy hat and cupcake hat I did from your videos. They turned out pretty well. Still not as good as I would like to be at all of this but it has only been a few months since I have started. Plus your videos help so much they are helping me get better. ")
Do you always want to make sure that you are making your pattern grow on the inside instead of having the lines on the outside of the pegs? I see that is what you did but I am new to loom knitting and want to make sure that I get it all right. You have been a huge help with learning to do different things on looms it is really awesome!!! ")
I am a very slow learner, I need illustrations and written instructions. Do you know where I can find those things for this stitch? I have given up trying with just tutorials. Thanks, LR
Sorry for the delay, I'm unsure where you can find visuals. Try searching online. If I redid a video from a different angle (since this is an older video and my setup was different) would that help? I could go slower.
As the video says, It is the Honeycomb or Box Stitch that I'm doing in the video. It creates a different look and some pegs have to be "missed" to make it work. :)
@mandi44060 For this effort I think it works fine. If you are increasing or decreasing that usually happens on the inside I believe. I just started loom knitting in Feb of this year.
