Only she did, in the end. Right before she died, she expressed the wish that Camilla would be known as Queen (Consort obviously, but still as Queen) and expressed her desire for Camilla to continue in her own service.
Let's just keep in mind that neither Diana NOR Charles wanted their marriage. Charles was already in love with Camilla, and anybody who has ever been in love should understand how cruel it would be to be forcibly separated from their loved one and to marry someone else for political or whatever other "practical" purpose. At least Diana was not involved with anyone at the time. For Charles, the pain must have been much greater.
Actually Diana said on numerous occasions she was still in love with Charles. She was even asked after they divorced by a friend in private who said this in an interview years later that if Charles ever came back begging for her she would do it in a heartbeat
Diana did want it at the beginning....she was quite young and naive when he met her (i believe he was dating her sister at the time) and she wanted that fairytale. I think the royal family did push for one of the Spencer girls since their noble family line goes way back (like 16th century way back) and is even mixed with Winston Churchills' line.
Charles reminds me of Henry the 8th he thinks that because in love or lust with Camilla then it means that his sons and his family have to accept respect love be okay with him divorcing Diana and welcome her with open arms.
It’s sad to see how Charles is definitely not a King material. He was educated in the old system but all he retained is he is the future King, and he is entitled that everyone will please and serve him. He didn’t get at any time the role comes with big responsibilities. In my country, the King title can be passed to a sibling is their father doesn’t feel he can manage his duties for the country. Her grace, Elizabeth, knew her son would never be ready, so she kept the role until the end.
The Queen didn't like her, she liked Diana. I think to her death she didn't like Camilla. Charles was sounding like King George VI's brother. He even threatened to leave the throne if he couldn't have Camilla.
Because all had been private before that call between Charles and Camilla was leaked, and she had to change the laws of the Church of England for Charles to get married with Camilla. England was and is a conservative country and Diana was the Princess of the People, she was deeply popular and loved by the people of England, so the public sided with her during the divorce.
It’s not her being loyal to Diana. She’s being loyal to her faith which looks down on divorce. The fact that C&C split up 2 families as well only adds more good logical points to the queens side of the debate. Divorce hurts people, it hurts those who have been cheated on, it hurts the children and her going to support Camilla would show she supports the selfish actions that hurt her grandsons.

@@whateveritis3103let’s see you manage an entire country and raise over privileged children and see how you do.
The scenes are so dark. More lamps please.
" Wallis Simpson" on repeat. Charles never learnt, it's not about love, it's about duty.
Camilla and Charles……🤮🤮🤮🤮
It’s sad to see how Charles is definitely not a King material. He was educated in the old system but all he retained is he is the future King, and he is entitled that everyone will please and serve him. He didn’t get at any time the role comes with big responsibilities. In my country, the King title can be passed to a sibling is their father doesn’t feel he can manage his duties for the country. Her grace, Elizabeth, knew her son would never be ready, so she kept the role until the end.
But you all, the queen made her Queen Consort.
I would of done the same thing, why go to party for a person that destroyed another
Poor camilla :*(
Too bad Charles didn’t have the balls to refuse to marry Diana because he was already in love. No back bone
Dam if the queen truly had that conversation with Charles , she is bad ass. She told him point blank, unapologetic, how she felt about Camilla
The Queen didn't like her, she liked Diana. I think to her death she didn't like Camilla. Charles was sounding like King George VI's brother. He even threatened to leave the throne if he couldn't have Camilla.
honestly according to diana the queen wasnt really fond of her either lol
Good job she didn’t as Diana died a month later and had she attended, she wouldn’t have been worrying about flagpoles.
Wtf did they expect? 😂 Their relationship caused so many problems. She may be Queen consort but she’ll never be truly accepted.
Spare me, we all know why the queen remained in the role until her death.
@@hardren101 Bcz abdication isn’t an option. Except for Edward VIII which predecessor of her had abdicated?
Because abdication wasn’t an option. Look what happened last time.
I also like corgis better than Camila.
Camilla was very mean to Diana 😢👎🏻
The whole mess is entirely his fault. He should have put his foot down and marry Camilla in the first place. Moron.
Comment le personnage peut etre aussi cruelle et froide avec le fruit de ses entrailles
I mean you let him cheat on Diana all those years, why won't you go to the party, why the sudden loyalty to Diana?
@@RoseRedd-k4b She let Diana cheat as well
Because all had been private before that call between Charles and Camilla was leaked, and she had to change the laws of the Church of England for Charles to get married with Camilla.
She didn't "let" anything.
Camilla will never be anything more than a home wrecking mistress. The queen was right not to attend or give the idea that she approved of their antics. They destroyed poor Diana up until she died. I'll never forget what they did.
@@quiltqueen4318 She is the Queen. Cope with it
With the greatest respect, but Her late Majesty was very cold and detached from her children. She put that object “the crown” above everything.
@@gamitaalfonso9999 The Crown isn’t an object. It’s a 1000 year old institution that Parliament and military both swear an oath of allegiance to. It is her family and country’s legacy which is beyond any mortal relationship.
@@fahimfaisalmahir567 yes, but I’m an American. And that’s where we differ. We revere our flag, which represents family, home, and country. They are synonymous.
The Queen was very close friends with Camilla’s husband!
holy shit it's McNulty
I will never accept Camilla.
He should have been allowed to marry who he loved and there wouldn’t have been two families destroyed.
That said, the people loved Diana and Camilla will never, ever be what Diana was.
We all don't know exactly. Don't we?
Camilla has done a good job so far but she should never be Queen. Diana was meant to be queen, not Camilla. Not ever.
If I had a son who cheated on my innocent daughter in law I'd disown his ass and leave inheritance to grandkids and guardianship to daughter in law.
I love that the Queen wore white to their wedding.
Nobody will ever accept Camilla. She's tainted and ruined Diana's life.
Realizing I might be the only person who sees it this way, but this scene made me feel sorry for Charles. He was raised by nannies, and presented to his parents twice a day, and his mother shows more interest in her dogs than in her children. Really doesn’t show the Queen in a good light.
Don’t get me wrong- I loved Diana and truly believe she got a raw deal from Charles but this scene may show why he is the way he is.
Charles love a divorcee woman but ignore his won two children's mother 😢
Diana slept with three married men, ignoring her children, their father, and the men's families...
@@fahimfaisalmahir567 it's after divorce

I don’t think any of us have anything to worry about. I am not trying to be damning to Camilla, she does have a good heart. But she is a heavy drinker and it shows on her. I think she looks like an old drunk. Sooner than later it will take a toll on her health if it hasn’t already..
At least Camilla made it to 50..
Made it to fifty but looked sixty or seventy 😂😂😂
At least Diana will always be a stunning beauty.

BRITISH HISTORY:
Queen Camilla, THE MISTRESS QUEEN of BRITISH MONARCHY
The second, actually. First there was Anne Boleyn.
@@lizmcb4959 yes but there's a big difference with them, Anne Boleyn may have been a mistress before she became queen but she was never married and divorcee, she didn't have any prior children, UNLIKE CAMILLA PARKER BOWLE/ queen Camilla.

@@lizmcb4959 And none of their husbands were ever faithful. They were either the mistress or the one home while the King had a mistress.
But once she met Camilla, she liked her and finally understood why Prince Charles loved her. When she gave her permission for them to marry, she made right, a great wrong. Camilla should have always been a part of the Royal Family. She fits in. She belongs.
