WOW! what a great idea. The Egyptians and Aztecs did the same thing 5000 years ago.

What an ingenius system , personally i have hard time collecting rain water i use buckets and whatever i find and my appartment doesn't have big balcony so theres no real solution for me , my mother always used rain water for her hair she always had nice hair , and theres diffrence between showering with rain water and the regular water , i do use rainwater for my hair when i collect enough but 99.99% its for my plant i love my pothos they did survive me so i do anything ican to give them great care i wish i had you as a neighbor or family definitely ask you to find me a solution on how to collect rain water in a small appartment

Recipe for rabbit stew: First catch yourself a rabbit. First, it has to rain before you can use rain water. We use rain water 100%. But what we collect has to get us through the 3-4 month dry season. No rain? Problem!

Nice video, but seems kinda' counterintuitive to spend a fortune on a system so you don't have to pay for municipal water... This setup is for rich folks who want to get off the grid.

@@DrKrapulax water is hugely expensive down here and this systems already paid for itself in three years and now our water is free! But even more importantly, the municipal water quality is awful and it is so empowering to be independent. Thanks for watching😎

I’m pretty sure you’re paying for the accessibility with out the reliance on municipal no? Paying for municipal is cheaper in the view that it also doesn’t care what is in your drinking water.. the “fortune” for peace of mind still is not as costly as a never ending cost of uncertain water sanitation and accessibility for feasible costs? In a disaster this man in good health and circumstances can have access to water regardless of a municipal shortcomings no? That’s the cost basis I feel for rain harvesting is complete understanding of the system. Not being reliant not to mention the money you save ei: more water for house use and garden use resulting in more food and energy saving no? The only cost truly is ingenuity and determination. This is scarce in many so I do understand how something simple like this can seem like non solution but again the solution is Personal sanitary access to water without control no? Thanks for any insight just imo I’ll have a never ending water bill(and get whatever they provide regardless of what I pay)while this has an end point of cost like the guy said after 3 years it, for him, paid for itself.

@@ecohabs4earththe concept of paying for inadequate access to necessities hasn’t fully affected everyone enough for them to see it the way you do. I myself am in an okay position. I don’t feel as if my city mismanages much. However I do understand one day that can change and I have zero rights as a taxpayer about it. That’s life, so I appreciate you taking the time and exposure putting your work out and am taking notes!!🤙 the system looks very well thought out and I definitely love it!
