Crown Styles: Three Easy Updos

- In this tutorial, I show you how to create three "crown" styles inspired by traditional African styles and art. You can see the pictures that inspired these styles as well as links to products and tools used at moknowshair.com...
Products and Tools:
Soft boar bristle brush
Denman Grooming Brush

Total time:
High Bun - 8 minutes
Top Knot - 8 minutes
Complex Coiffure - 15 minutes
Keep and Care:
Styles can be maintained by securing with a silk or satin scarf and then covering with a satin bonnet.

That last hairstyle was beyond fabulous! I must recreate it once my twist-out is old!
The third style was creativity at its finest! I felt like you were free-styling which makes it even sweeter!
The last style I was thinking to myself *where is she going with this* but when you finished it, it turned out super cute and creative. I have to do that up-do.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing, I was almost in a trance, hanging on to every second trying to figure out where she was going with it, but then the end result had me like ohhh snap. Lol nice job overall, I just wonder how it would work with my 4c hair. I love the color also, thats hot!

I'm so glad you came around finally hair that is exactly like mine. I have my hair natural now I wish my mom knew how to do my hair as a child but her hair is Indian so she didn't know what to do after I got older but perm . I'm tired of summer frizz n buns n braids n wash n go n poof. Lol now I know different styles. You are an angel.

I love these! Could you please post a couple of more videos with coifs, high bun, or fancy updo hairdos we can easily do on natural hair for a dressy event? I have a couple of parties and other events coming in Oct and Nov and would like to wear my hair in an elegant but natural updo as opposed to reaching for the flat iron. Thank you so much. When I first went natural, i saw this video and though to was too much work for me but now that I gained patience and I'm over wash n gos and twistouts, I am determined to do these hairstyles especially the last one 😊

Your hair styles are gorgeous! Your hair also looks like it is still rich in protein and is not negatively affected by the color at all. I want color in my hair but I don't know of any hair professionals to trust my natural hair with.

I've been getting my hair pressed ever since I was in the 3rd grade and I'm about to be a junior in high school in a little ovr a month and I had no idea how to take care of my curls until I found this channel

I have natural curly hair as yours, but I have a problem when putting it in a bun (like the first style). The curls are fine, but my edges and roots look somewhat dry and ruins the style. I usually use gel to slick down the edges and roots, but it still looks bad when I put my hair in a bun. Is it because I use the wrong shampoo and conditioner? And if so, what should I use?

Mo makes styles for the liking of her hair but they are suggestions for other people to use. I doubt mo will come up with short thin natural hair videos for one person satisfaction sorry but I will be starting a channel my hair is shorter than her but not thin very thick
+MaKaileh Edwards She does all types of curling hairstyles on all types of different people's hair. Who have all types of curly hair textures. You won't be getting any subscribers with that attitude.
