Thank you for this video--I'm headed back to Bangkok in a month. Last time I went, dined at Banyan Tree and it was the most beautiful restaurant I have ever seen. I felt like I was in a movie. The service was amazing, the views were unbelievable, and it was an unforgettable experience. Looking forward to going back, and I will try some of the others on your list!
@@divine7223 the bars are still open. The rooftop (uncovered) area will be closed if it's raining, but you can still enjoy the views/drinks in the covered area. Having said that, no rain the dining experience is still much better. Do check the weather forecast before you go :)
I was looking for a similar video and got the best. I planned my trip for Thailand by November last week. Since it is our second anniversary, this is a must thing to have... Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for asking. Yup Tichuca is a cool bar, but we read some reviews that tourists need to pay to do ART tests before going in, and service was not great. That’s why we did not include in the list
Well, seeing the youtube video of it, i can think of a few good reasons. Showing passport, expensive drinks and bad service (long wait for a drink for example). No alcohol free drinks on menu, weird.
hi, you can check out tichuca rooftop bar, the dress code is casual. For other famous rooftop bars, eg Above eleven, Octave, Vertigo, Threesixty, even though the stated dress code is smart casual, I often see gents wearing shorts (no sandls and flippers). Btw, please make reservation earlier. End of the month is Xmas and new year, a lot tourists in Bangkok
@@traveltaskforce Ty for the info. I'll be there 28th to 6th of January. I see that Bangkok is getting busier (which is good to see). Safe Travels & Enjoy
I'm going to Thailand next month and have been searching for some classy rooftop bars to go to. Could I still go to these places as a solo female traveller? Or is it too strange for a solo person to go to these places?
I think it is quite okay to go as sole female travellers. But call in to book first, as most of them are popular. Also take note some of them require a smart causal dress code
They are so impressive looking, creative, comfortable, etc etc , but ……. the music in almost every single one of them is pretty much what you hear in a Hotel W lobby while you make your reservation!
You mean how to get to the skybars? Most located in downtown of Bangkok. You can use Google map to check for public transport or use apps like Grab or Bolt for private cars
At the time we made the video, Tichuca asked visitors to pay for ART test to enter the bar, so we did not include it in this video. 😅 but it is definitely a very popular skybar. Thanks for mentioning that

So needed this video for my upcoming trip to Bangkok in a few weeks. Thank you!
Have a great and safe trip to Bangkok! 🥰
Octave bar is great! enjoyed ourselves last time when we visited there
Thanks so much for sharing your experience! 😀
@@traveltaskforce are the rooftops open right now? As it is raining season

@@traveltaskforce Thank you!
Been to Red Skye and Above Eleven. Both excellent. Red Skye higher end.

Wish you have a great and memorable trip with your wife 🥰
@@traveltaskforce Thanks dear
What a great video... someone needs to set up a tour bus to visit 3-4 in one night
As a local, my personal fav is Vertigo.
Agree with the last two. Two lovley spots.
I will visit some of these oneday
Mariot was the beat 👍🏻
Lebua at State Park is my favorite sky bar, by far!
Hollywood didn't chose that bar for no reason.
Thank you ❤❤❤
😊
What about Tichuca? Why did you skip that one? any paeticular reason?
Thanks for asking. Yup Tichuca is a cool bar, but we read some reviews that tourists need to pay to do ART tests before going in, and service was not great. That’s why we did not include in the list
Been there few weeks ago, going up is free and it's really nice !

How many of these places are of casual dress (ie-shorts, instead of pants)? Ill be there in Bangkok for my first time at the end of the month...Ty

Mmmkkjh
I visit all 😅
🤩 which ones are your favourite ?
is there an entrance fee to these bars?
There is no entrance fee, but their drinks are more expensive than normal bars
Where is Sky Beach?
The video has informative potential but the stock footage does not match the narrator at all making this a bit pointless.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Will definitely improve on this part 🥰
I thought it was good!! 🍻
The hottest Tichuca these days is missing~

These places are not worth the money at all! The price for a beer/drink is beyond all reason.
You're paying for the view. Those prices would be perfectly fine in Europe.
How much for a beer at these rooftop bars?
@@cdbourgeois Just way too much. Such places lack "soul". Go to an ordinary beer bar, chat and play pool with the ladies.
Very poorly filmed. 😢
🥲🥲🥲
