Great review of those series. I finally got the first two Legendary Performer LPs at a record fair last week, am so pleased to have the four of them now. Managed to get all the essential Elvis series too via Amazon and eBay. All CDs except one which I got as an LP. You are so right about the LPs having it over CDs with the beautiful 12" covers❤
I agree there are too many soundboard releases, I wish FTD would concentrate on giving treatment to the albums they haven't done yet and also do repressing so that collectors shouldn't have to fork out ridiculous prices to complete a collection.
Hi Steve, good video! I’m glad you are feeling better now. Keep talking the pills and listening to Elvis. Don’t buy too many! Stay safe. Ellie. 🎼🎶🎵🕺🏻❤️😃👍⚡️
@@tcbsince73 The main thing is to get better Steve! Keep taking those pills and listening to Elvis. You will be better in no time, just take it easy. Stay safe. Ellie. 🎼🎵🎶🕺🏻😃❤️👍⚡️🙏
Greetings Steve from Delaware USA. Always liked the essential Elvis cds series. Stereo 57 is still a favorite. I agree with you on what ftd has become. Thanks for sharing, feel better!!
So nice to watch a new video from you, hope your health keeps improving, looking as good as ever🌞👍. Wish RCA/SONY would go back and do more essential releases and fewer FTDS, the FTDS are just too expensive for alot of us ELVIS fans.
Good to see you Steve ... I have most of these ( not the FTD vinyls) 🙄 Amazing to me that RCA started getting adventurous in 74 ( after Parker had sold Elvis rights back to RCA ) 😂😡! All incredible Releases These.. Cheers Steve 🎙🎶🥂
Nice look at the releases. I always think of Elvis For Everyone and the Singer LP as really early start to the unreleased offerings. Rare Elvis was also a nice little series I loved picking up in the 80’s.
Love to see you back Steve! Lot a great memories with these releases. I got the Legendary Performer volume 3 picture disc from a teacher at school and 1 or 2 years later (I was 16) when Essential Elvis volume 2 came out. Volume 1 I received from the US after reaching out to Don Wardell, the RCA executive from New York at the time. Volume 2 blew me off my socks, hearing these great tracks in binaural for the first time. Up until today my favorite Elvis album of all time. Thanks for the great video (as always).
Hi Steve ,love ya videos, hope ya feeling better ,a wonder if FTD will do those legendary performer albums ,they were great releases back in the day ,the essential Elvis albums were great when they came out ,they are similar to FTD as you pointed out ,great covers and nice reproductions of the labels ,take care ,tony
Great to see you again mate and thanks for the really good video, I do have all the legendary and essential but only have the first half a dozen of ftd cds. Stay well a nd look forward to your live chat. Luv the show.
Hi Steve 😎 A great and very informative video my good friend! Have most of all the RCA releases of Legendary Performer along with Essential on CDs and Vinyl. You are right about FTD 😁👍🏻 Glad to have you back and seeing your new videos. ☺️☝️ Prays for your continued recovery! 🙏🙏 Cheers ! TCB ⚡️⚡️😎
I know this is far fetched, but I personally wish that RCA would consider releasing fan based, the legendary performers CDs ,by having a contest with fans , to see what the fans would like to hear on the Elvis CD
All these records need reissued ,TCB

When did Elvis' record company ever do right by him? He was massively successful despite their decisions
Hello my friend its lovely to see you again and thank you for another informative video. Take care ❤
Thanks Tony, I am through the worst now
I bought A legendary performer vol. 1 via mail order from the Sun newspaper
I remember the heavy advertising on ITV ‘Don’t be cruel’ blasting out!
That is interesting, I don't remember that
Hi Steve, good video! I’m glad you are feeling better now. Keep talking the pills and listening to Elvis. Don’t buy too many! Stay safe. Ellie. 🎼🎶🎵🕺🏻❤️😃👍⚡️
Thanks Eleanor, I have never taken so many pills in my life.

Thanks Kerry, they should go back to single discs
These were all great at the time they came out (and still are). Here in the US we didn't get Vol. 3 on vinyl.
usually it was the UK fans that missed out, it i a nice disc, but I never played it
Good to see you Steve ...

Thanks Paul, yes once they owned all the material they exploited it
Nice look at the releases. I always think of Elvis For Everyone and the Singer LP as really early start to the unreleased offerings. Rare Elvis was also a nice little series I loved picking up in the 80’s.
That is true, but I think they were used to "fill" the album

An interesting history my friend, as you say now very expensive with the FTD collections! cheers mate, stay well!

Hello me french and elvis in french je l aime ❤
bonjoir Alain, bienvenu!
The only reason I buy FTD is for their fabulous books. WAY too expensive for the average Elvis fan.
Glad ur on the mend I have all these 🌸
Thanks Danny
FTD always was a collector's label...
true, I get the feeling that some are buying to make money on them though
