Absolutely, the tricks of meanings of the English language. The Native American said, White man has " fork tongue ". It continues until today, witness these Repblicans in the Senate calling the Insurrectionist harmless Tourist, or the systematic killing of unarmed black men, women and children, as acts of individual Policemen.
Defining people by color is a coded signal that gives anyone in the majority group the right to hold a "different opinion"., simply because the "other" person is different by reference.
As long as Americans hang onto coded language, racism will persist.

Good interview! More discussions on tokenism should take place in marginalized communities. Often we feed into it ourselves. Celebrating the one who “got out”. The one who “made it”. As if we don’t know a certain type of success is not for everyone.
That is not something we should ever accept.

A God-like father who didn't do anything wrong in his eyes, while demonizing the mother whom his God-like father tormented, demented, and abandoned with their little son, making her incapable of functioning and providing for herself and her kid as she dreamed of. His father broke his mother.
Angry? Yes. But to still not be able to see WHY his mother couldn't deliver what he needed growing up totally breaks my heart. He needs to examine his God-like father's behaviour/treatment of her and her child WAY CLOSER. He's unforgiving toward a woman whose mind was broken by his dad.
God have mercy on the abandoned women for their children blame them, even though it was their dad who stopped being a present, providing parent. Parents, please get along, don't abandon, break or tear each other apart. Like this young man shows, children don't understand mom's brokenness.

Being strong and black is not the exclusive domain of straight men or even of men. I heartily disagree. There is a system in place but the “American machine” works for most, not all. We should help those it doesn’t work for, but we shouldn’t dismantle it or keep trying.
He became disillusioned and gave up on it. I think his approach needed to go to the basics and not try to develop MBAs from the get go.

The American Dream works well for those this country was intended for. It wasn't intended for those who look like this gentlemen. The American machine made sure of that with Redlining decades ago, which those on the other side of the railroad tracks are still victims of. This Redlining actually created ghettos, which was apart of the plan. This American machine destroyed thriving Black communities, which was becoming a force to be reckon with, in multiple jurisdictions across this country. And until this day, this country have to be reminded that this land prosperity and wealth should be equal to all, and recognize the lives within that race. Don't push your experience and thoughts of this country and think it applies to all in a country which standards does not applies to all.

As an answer to some of the comments here, you are not discriminated and black. Just like all races, cultures, physical appearances, biological uniquenesses, and skin colors, your black origins, biological uniqueness, physical appearance, skin color, culture deserves better than to be associated with discrimination in your mind. You are much more valuable, much stronger, much better, much more respectable, much more loved, much more successful, much more accepted. much more important than that. Please be proud of your achievements. Barack Obama is black. Denzel Washington is black. Kamala Harris is black. Meghan Markle is black. Kanye West is black. Many great businessmen, businesswomen, educators, university professors are black. Oprah is black. Michelle Obama is black. There are so many black, successful, educated, intelligent, hardworking men and women like you in all industries. Also, in all industries there are so many black, white, Arab, Indian, Asian, Jewish, Palestinian you name it people who are discriminated against and are successful, educated, hardworking, consistent, great at managing their time, life goals, careers, marriages, friendships, mentor relationships when they overcome that discrimination they faced and don’t define themselves, their identity, their self-esteem based on trauma, difficult, toxic negative experiences, toxic negative people, being battered, bruised in life, that there is always worse because there will always better too and that they will consider that their education, achievement mean nothing because a few idiotic abusers want to cause them to think they are nothing, are in bad situations and will be in danger and ill if they try to go against their abusers’ wishes and the wishes of any abusers who abused them. Please keep trying, never give up and you will succeed. You matter. Your achievements matter. Your mind matters. Your past success, present success, future success matter. Please remember that.

@sleeping bear she also had a good acting career and is a self-made millionaire. She is very savvy, knows how to find her way, succeed in the world and helped Harry, the rich white dude you are talking about, network with Hollywood producers and get deals that give them hundreds of millions of dollars. That’s no easy feat. Meghan is a genius and very hard working. That’s how she even attracted that rich white dude. He was attracted to her strength and ability to succeed.
