With all the cool quick release stuff on the engine, those 8 tiny screws seem like a suboptimal solution.. Why not the oldschool, threaded rod and wingnut on top of the whole filter assembly style?
2:22 we use these in aviation! They are called bonding brushes and we use them to remove paint for grounding wires or bond straps.
