- Hydrofoil trimaran prototype sailing on Pittwater in Sydney. The video demonstrates how easy it can be to sail fast on foils even in very light winds.
The boat used is a forerunner to a soon to be released production model called the FlyTri marketed by Hydrofoil Australia.
Great design . Looks fast and stable.
wow, surprised to see that it looks like the sensor is simply directly connected to the pivot of the entire foil/board. I see a pylon to lift the foil up, so it looks like the foil has a few degrees of pitch, and can be raised and lowered. It's a much simpler system than a moth foil. I'm wondering if the forward sensor ever dives? does this work well in bigger waves? hmm from the lawn shot I see the foils look at least a meter high, but you fly it quite low.
It looks as though the surface sensor controls the angle of the complete t-foil, not just a trim tab on the horizontal wing on the bottom. Is that correct?
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Impressive iteration I like the no fuss flight controller!
Many thanks for sharing, do you have an email contact?
