  • Saltwater fishing Florida docks for big Sheepshead using Mud Crabs and live shrimp for bait. After a successful kayak fishing trip I cleaned and cooked the fish waterside.

    We have been fishing the docks out of a 14' John boat, free-lining cut up shrimp (Walmart frozen shrimp) with a 1/8 oz split shot sinker. The sheepshead bite is on fire right now. Just about every pier, dock or bridge holds an ample number for the taking.

      That's an idea, small pieces of shrimp for Sheepshead. Thanks for sharing.

    Every fish I've caught in my life has been with artificial bait. Not because it's better. It was the way I was taught. It's easy, and I'm lazy. I've caught more trout over 5 pounds than I can remember..... Definitely north of 100.
    Your clips stop me in my tracks, rattle my brains, and open my eyes to the facts..... Bait catches fish and it's not more difficult than artificial. My biggest mental block is ..."Bait equals WORK." . You make bait fishing seem easy. Thanks

    I harvested some huge mud crabs last weekend. Then went and caught some stud sheepies. The crabs always work.

    Hey J.C., don't forget to put the rocks back and right side up to minimze environmental impacts.
    Leaving oysters down in the mud under the rocks usually kills them and other organisms associated with them.
    You're only wanting the crabs, after all.
    I love watching you use crabs for bait. I also use them so I can relate.
    Keep up the fun.
    I guess you know too, I also find it kinda weird being the same age as old people!

    Love your CCC videos especially onsite. To each his own on the seasonings, it’s good to see your choice. Unfortunately, most people don’t coat the fish with enough of the Redfish Magic to get the true flavor, taste. Keep them coming JC. 👍👌

    Love your videos. If you need a spot for your grill use a 30”rd high top table. Party rental stores throw away or sell unrentable ones. If they only have 4 leg low top. Cut pvc extensions for your height. Easy storage.

    Great video JC, Iwas at the north jetty and there were good amounts of sheeps but they were not hitting sand fleas at all. Switched up to fiddlers and they were eating in super clear water right in front of me. Tight lines catch em up

    Great video JC I was told UA-cam pays more then $9.00 Pur 1000 Views

    • @RadReelingFishing
      @RadReelingFishing  8 місяців тому +2

      it depends on what the niche is of the UA-cam channel. Fishing videos on average pay nine dollars per thousand views. A video in the medical niche might pay $20 per thousand views. videos in the insurance category might pay $30 per thousand views. The amount per thousand fluctuates depending on how much competition there is from the advertisers. If there's only 10 companies advertising about cast nets then a video about cast nets might only make seven dollars per thousand views, but if there are 100 Cassnet companies advertising, competing for the best placement of their ad, then the advertisers have to pay a larger sum of money for their ads to be seen more often. this means that the UA-cam creator would get paid more money per thousand, maybe $15 because the advertiser has to pay more money. Sometimes my videos make $15 per thousand views and other times only six dollars per thousand views.

    Say JC out of curiosity when you are cleaning the sheepshead, why do you bypass the belly area? Is it to avoid the guts and all? Looks like there’s a lot of meat still there. Nevertheless I really enjoy all your videos. Thanks for all the great content and yes life is fun.

    hey man great video. Wondering why you cut so far around the stomach when fileting the sheepshead, looks like a lot of meat going to waste. Personally i think its better to cut the stomach out of the filet after you have finished so you dont miss any meat. To each your own, love your videos.

      You must like crunchy rib bones

    • @RadReelingFishing
      @RadReelingFishing  8 місяців тому

      Sheepshead feed on barnacles a lot so their intestines are loaded with crunchy, gross black stuff. It's pretty messy when you cut through the ribs.
