Yes, most things perfect have a simplicity to them. This message is simply perfect. A great reminder and guide to getting back to that place where it is possible to appreciate life more and to be happy.

"Healthy mind-body" - That's a good goal to have! I thank God for UA-cam and access to these kind of talks. 😊

WOW! So, "We're out of balance because we're self-centered!" That's deep.
(Hey do I get the credit for that quote, by any chance?)
[Note: ...will return and rewatch and think about a +1 & shares]
    (And thank-you, BTW)

Do we have a duty to forgive others. Ought we?

My take, though you may never see this. No, there is no duty. The crux of it is that it is healthier for you and you will feel better all around. The studies show it time and time again. So, yes, you ought. Do more research on it. You don't have to forget the transgression nor pardon the consequences to forgive.

JD Williams you are probably not religious but according to the Christian faith you certainly have a duty to forgive. the person with unforgiveness toward men will not be forgiven by God.

@@sherijohns8944 .....I agree with what you're saying but I believe it is the last sentence that's so hard for the majority of us to wrap our heads around. I wish this concept were better explained. Hopefully Dr. Luskin's book is clear about the steps involved to fully grasp the idea.

Forgiveness does not pardon sins and make them real. It sees there was no sin. And in that view are all your sins forgiven. (ACIM).

No all our sins r not forgiven. If u r Christian, Jesus said for those whose sins you forgive they r forgiven. For those whose sins u retain they r retained. Some sins r retained
By no means all r forgiven. If u believe that you r deluding yourself.

This is hard to understand. Its ify. I dont quite agree. There are people full of kindness and gratitude who cannot forget. It also depends who pulled the trigger on the bad deeds. In my reading i found if the bad deeds was unprovoked and unnecessary the forgiveness was harder. If there was no closure to the sad story the grudge and forgiveness was harder to achieve. Both sides need to forgive. If one side cannot the other party cannot achieve anything even if they are kind, loving and full.of gratitude.

No not true...perhaps others are spiritual and emotionally sick....I get to release them and be the CHange I want to see in the world...my freedom and happiness is not dependent on others
