Apex Detail I received my delivery from Amazon last Thursday. On Friday I did an Apex detail exfoliation using their new hybrid solutions polish. Waited a full 24 hours then applied the coating. Waited another 24 and applied a second coat. Shine was good and slickness was on par with SnS. Today it’s much slicker and appears to have more pop. Time will tell how long it lasts. I’m in Charlotte so we have relatively mild winters with little snow or ice. Good stuff so far.

From Professional such as you, I Highly recommended the new Turtle Wax Hybrid Solution Line of products. I am a driveway detailer and have successfully used all the Hybrid Solution products starting about 7 months ago. As you always say, "Preparation is Key" for a successful detail. For those who are getting at least 7 month satisfaction, they probably didn't prepare their cars properly. For both of my cars, at the 6 month timeline, I wash the cars with Turtle Wax Hybrid Soap, then use their Wet Wax, finally added their Ceramic Coating again. And it was back to Perfection. I live in the Midwest & experience terrible winters, so I used ONR once a week and their spray detailer to keep winter road grime off the cars. I am confident, I will get at least 1 year of protection! I only used traditional contact wash twice during 6 month period with the Turtle Wax Hybrid Soap. Thanks Brian for your Excellent Wealth of Knowledge, Keep Up the Great Work! and Thanks to Turtle Wax!

Thanks so much for your videos on this. I switched from the Meguiar's synthetic sealant wax, which looks to be out of production, and the good ceramic coatings cost my clients extra for me to use them, they were a pain to apply, and after a winter in our climate and car washes, the ceramic life of 2 years would be cut down by a lot. The Seal & Shine is even easier to apply than my regular spray wax, looks great, and holds up great. On balance looking at cost, reliability, and consistency, this is my best option right now and I order direct from Turtle Wax. It's also great to protect on top of existing ceramics and polymer sealers. My clients are happy. I'm happy. I never would have thought a few years ago that I'd be relying on a TW product.

  • @sikkinixxmc

I think ppl are confused about curing
You can’t leave ceramic on paint and wait awhile to wipe off. This is what causes problems, the least of which is streaking.
It’s not like a sealant or even wax for that matter where you leave it sit 30 minutes and wipe off.
You spray on, maybe wait 10 seconds and wipe off.
The cure time is the time from when you wipe it off until you
Expose it to the elements, particularly rain.
Don’t leave ceramic sit on paint long before wiping off.
    Hope it helps

Great job as always Brian. Turtle wax hybrid solutions is probably a great product . The only issue I'm having is the cure time. You have to allow 24 hours cure time after the one step polish and wax before you apply the ceramic spray coating then another 24 hours if you choose to apply a second coat . Please let me know if I'm understanding this correctly. Keep up the great videos.

Washed with some TW Ice Snow Foam wash. Use Eagle 1 Wipe & Shine or TLC Amp as a quick detailer and it looks as good as they day I applied the S&S. Today it rained and water slipped right off. I have been experimenting with numerous Sio2 products over the past two years and I have discovered that ceramics really just aren’t for normal ppl who do a soap and water wash once or twice a week once the car has become filthy enough to need it. I have learned it kindof has to be taken care of if you want the look to last which I do twice a day with whatever sio2 spray detailer I am using at the time. My car hasn’t been “water washed” in close to 6 months. I have also found that a good 9H sealant does wonders for added protection not only for the Sio2 product application but for the car itself as well.

Hey Brian on the torture testing with the chemicals that are on the roads, wouldn’t it be better to let it dry when you spray it on? The reason I ask this is most people don’t spray their cars off immediately after it’s rained and drove on the roads. Sorry if that’s a dumb question but I’m just thinking realistic.

  • @itsthemetho
    @itsthemetho 11 місяців тому

Love this stuff. To me it is super easy to apply, unlike say CMX that can dry and streak on you. I'm not sure it lasts 12 months outdoors, but so easy to apply I don't care to recoat every 5-6 months. I find that after washing, if you use the the Turtle Wax Wet Ceramic to dry your paint, beeding and gloss level performance is restored.
Maybe not as good as professional products, but nothing compares to how easy it is to apply. Spend the time to first paint correct and you will be amazed even with 20 year old paint. Love this on my new BRZ.

I currently have a professionally applied Opti-Coat Pro+ on my car but had to have 3 panels repainted; I'm not going to reapply an expensive ceramic coat. In the real world, a daily driver will get scratches and so it doesn't make sense to me to put a ceramic coating that will probably have to be polished out anyway. I think is a great video...i personally preped my car with this range, polished it with the ceramic polish and wax, let it cure and with the maintanence wash i used the ceramix wash and wax and topped it off with the ceramic spray coating and i have to say they work amazing together.

If you read the instructions, you are only supposed to put about 3-4 sprays of this product per panel for optimum results. I'm not sure if by overloading the panel with spray made it any better. No doubt the stuff works very well regardless.

Honda Dude - If anything, it would be more difficult to buff off. It’s a tacky solution, and I follow up with a damp microfiber towel on high spots or when over-applied a panel.

Ok...just a bunch of observations on Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray wax.....extremely....easy to apply and buff out on cars..but I have used it on any item where dirt, oil, gunk builds up and it sheds it off surfaces easily...bottom line...this great product I found has mannnnnnny diff uses besides car detailing: inside chainsaw clutch covers to shed gunk build up, golf clubs, stainless steel grills, stove tops, tool chests/roller cabinets, small engines, smartphone/iPad screens , etc...not sure how long it lasts, but short term debris sheds off it, simple rinse off or air gun blowoff....Seems it is so easy to app,y, and 1-2 squirts on a rag or old microfiber cloth coats everything sufficiently, and still allow 24 hr cure time and second coat too. Worth trying imo!.

I tried spraying the product onto an applicator and had terrible results. It may work for the small square you do on a piece of scrap but for my pristine 65 GTO it was a disaster. Tons of streaks. I redid it spraying directly onto the panel and immediately spreading with a Rag Co. towel and then "buffing to perfection" with another towel and the results were great.

Brian, as usual another great informative non bias video. I think this TW Spray ceramic is awesome, you wete able to get really good gloss, and the panel was somewhat beat up from the Rotary, so on a nicely flat panel you may have eeked out a couple more points, though considering it was a 13 point jump, that maybe a record. This is great for the average Joe who wants thier vehicle to look nice , that requires no special skills, is easy to obtain, and doesn't break the bank. For a mobile detailer, I'd say this is a no brainer. For any detailer I think this could be a very profitable addition to many packages ( and imo you over deliver, using TW Hybrid Spray Ceramic Coating, with no loss of money or time). I also think this is a very good product to use after a paint enhancement for the enthusiast, or Pro Detailer; I'm guessing we'll see an example from you using thier Hybrid Solutions Polish and wax for an enhancement or one step, and adding additional protection from the TW Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray.

Can you apply this on top of Seal and Shine? Would it be more beneficial, added protection or makes no difference, or its a negative and will diminish the effectiveness? For some of us that already use Seal and Shine, its an added step to strip if off before applying this onto an already shiny surface. Just curious about that idea.

Sorry but i got this and it was a total fail. Sprayed it on and it never seemed to dry. Waited hours. Then when i tried to wipe off it smeared and was super tacky or stuck on that i had to put a lot of force down and rub to get it to swirl a bit and then come off.
I ended up putting turle wax with carnuba over it and then buffing that off and it took it off with it.
Tried again another day on just the hood and same result. And yes i shook the bottle and followed the instructions.
This went straight to the trash. Keeping it old school here on out.

Polish did work great getting some decent imperfections out though, and I’m a super beginner.

My question is can you top the hybrid solution ceramic spray with ice or seal & shine to increase it's protection? two is better then one. Asking because I have hybrid solution ceramic spray on my car right now and hope to make it last longer. You know I not sure I like the beading when it rains my car is full of bead and every car is dry it looks great and I should be proud.
