This show was on @ 1am Sunday morning in my area, and I still looked forward to it every week! I also found it by accident. Being totally infatuated with Rodney Grant from Dances with Wolves @ the time I happened upon it channel surfing, saw him along with Lee Horsley, who I loved from the series Paradise, and I was hooked! It turned out to be more than just eye candy, it was well done, and it wisked you away to another time and place. Never missed an episode. I also taped it on VHS.
Lee Horsley (Matt Houston) and Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) have a remarkable chemistry in Hawkeye. I just wished the network should have kept it on the air.
I remember that I really liked this show and not just because Lynda Carter was in it, but I was bummed when she left. I thought they both had good chemistry.
Recently rediscovered this show after finding the complete series on DVD - loved this show, and loved Lee Horsley and Lynda Carter. Wonderful video - great job of capturing their amazing chemistry.
Ok so if you remember the pilot episode William is captured by the Huron tribe and over the course of the series Elizabeth learns to live off the land and how to survive so in the final episode William returns home completely out of his mind only to find out that his wife has fallen in love with Hawkeye William then beats Elizabeth and kidnaps her William then ties her to a rock and holds a knife to her chest to cut her heart out until Hawkeye comes to rescue her Elizabeth frees herself grabs Hawkeyes musket and kills William and the series ends with Elizabeth and Hawkeye together
Loved the theme song to this series. I enjoyed the show (except for the 2 talentless "comedy relief" bumbling guys who hung around the fort doing...something, I forget what), but I'd forgotten the ending where she kills her crazy husband. At least they got the chance to wrap up the series and get them together, if only briefly. Some shows just end on a cliffhanger and the fans are left to twist in the wind.
It stopped because Lynda didn't want to do it anymore. The show was made in British Columbia Canada, and Lynda's family was in Washington DC. Some could say that was a selfish move on her part, others could say it showed she was/is a good mother and wife.
Great show, but it took a toll on her and the family. Networks AGAIN axe a show w/ potential and great actors w/ special talents. Where are the DVDs to Hawkeye?
I got this show on DVD and I HATED it. I love the idea of these two in a show together, but the made Elizabeth in to such whore mooning over Hawkeye while her husband was being held captive by the French... it was a disgrace.
I am uploading a Lynda Carter tribute featuring the song (and video) for "When I See You Smile" by 80's Band "Bad English." I hope you will check it out. It should be up and running soon.
I remember a lot of cleavage in this show. Which you never would have seen in real life at that time. She had to do this show, to go back to work, cuz her husband was being maliciously and wrongly persecuted by the Federal Gov't. So all of his money was either seized or tied up in legal defense. She was beautiful. I think when I watched this show, I only watched her. I had no idea what the show was about nor what was going on. Who cared.
One of the best videos Loved watching them enjoying life
LEE IS GORGEOUS
Paradise was the best!!! Such a talented man...horseman, singer, actor...good guy..
This show could have been a huge hit. It was well done and Lynda Carter is an ageless beauty.

What channel/network did it originally air on? NBC? ABC? CBS?
I just became a fan of Lee Horsley after buying the complete TV series of Hawkeye....this is such a great video!
Thank-you.

Which network was that? Online references to the TV series have not stated which network/channel aired the series originally.
I love both shows, Hawkeye and Relic Hunter. I can't believe that this show got canceled so quickly, IT WAS AWESOME! I miss it.
This is such a beautiful song!!
Love this show!!!

Hawkeye pilot part 2
Just bought and completed the series yesterday I wish they had kept it going just to develop the storyline for Elizabeth and Hawkeye
Yes she did William wanted to kill her in order to prevent Hawkeye from taking her

I remember seeing Lee Horsley in another series but I can't for the love of me remember what it was called. Does anybody out there recall it
Someone said that other character was "Matt Houston" but I don't know if that was also the name of the TV series; you could look it up.
It was Matt Houston.
@McMahonHater it is on DVD now!! And it's sooo good. You can buy on Amazon.com.
It was called Matt Houston and guns of paradise
"Relic Hunter", there's another bodacious babe TV Show, with Tia Carrere.
A great song, a great video, featuring two great entertainers. Is this show out on DVD yet?
Yep! I've got the series!

@arrechavengo Could be, just tell your mom to look up more.

Yes, I remember now.
She DID go into rehab shortly after this show.
