Hon. Ekandjo knows the reality and truth of this country him and the Late Toivo. He should be highly recognized. He deserve it apart from all SWAPO members. I am so happy because he called "Katima Mulilo" also. This man is great, history cannot be buried in Africa no ways...
Hon. Mr Ekandjo knows the truth about about resolution 435 and Namibia Reconciliation, very vibrant speeches of ideology and ethics of history. Much appreciated Hon. Ekandjo and thanks for informing the Nation.
The Namibia government cannot talk about reconciliation because we are not prepared yet. If this is true we should not have created The Ministry of Veteran Affairs that pay some individual groups. Why allowing some individuals to own lands in terms of grassing and own more buildings in expense of the masses. Is that reconciliation or exploitation? How would you create a reconciliation while you are creating a boundary between the rich and poor. We fought for this country in order to get access to land for our people to leave in. But as of today ONLY a few enjoy the wealth of this country suffocating the whole nation. Liberation is not about elevating national flag and singing national anthem but rather about having land for the citizens.
After 30 years of independence we as a nation still are not united at all, and people get angry when the previous presidents are named thugs. It goes to show that the current government has failed the nation bar from themselves. It's sad really sad😞
Thank you teacher now we need our land back because we are free but we are staying in match box houses while our colonial masters are having huge houses with a yard big enough for a second house we want the same tipe of houses
✋✋The history remains that " colonialism and it's different forms of brutality forced many Namibians into exile to become refugees." Not only SWAPO people. When ever you are talking about Namibia history, talk the history as it is.
Why rejecting the motion, we lost brothers, Sisters, Fathers, Uncle's during all our wars. What wounds will be open, the wounds are already opened the day the unjust was done
Sam Nujoma also committed crime, that thug killed many namibian secretly they might not think we have forgotten that.... stupid distorted swapo history, on the kavango side David Lyangurungunda also fought against colonialism so why he is left out.......???
Zambezi region is talked less in the History of Namibia where were you that time of 60's' we have big names back in Zambezi who faught for this country but are not always called or voiced"""
German and South Africa rule found different tribes in South west Africa they were not united before colonial rule. Mr Jerry is lying. There is no proof that they were united as Damara, Nama ,Herero Wambu, Kavango and Caprivian. Swapo initiate unity in the name of one Namibia one nation to convince United Nations. Before colonialism al tribes govern themselves and protect their territory.
Shame shame shame and i will say this again SHAME, what a shame.... do we call this a parliament and we have leaders 😢 Nowander other african nations are moving forward and our so called land of the brave is stagnant, infact it's faced the opposite direction.... INCOMPITENT LEADERSHIP, a bunch of mimickers.. in SYMBIOTIC political relationship... this need to change
Emms It is indeed frightening now to see that the tribalism being experienced at all fronts in our beloved country is supported by those who today could have in all respect rejected it. With this remark I mean to register my disappointment that the Namibian history is continuously being distorted. Any so called historian who does not recognize the habitation and movements patterns, as well as socio cultural heritage and activities of clans, tribal groups in a country cannot really be praised or hailed for presentations they make. In other words those are the most important and critical aspects in nation building efforts. It is in fact when these factors are suppressed, ridiculed, reduced to nothing of importance that is going to result in discontent and more so instability in nations. There is plenty of literature containing tangible information on wars that touched, affected and disoriented nations available. The Namibia history cannot be narrated like a poem without mentioning so called "police zones" that were introduced. This resulted in communities being up- rooted from their traditional roots which caused a lot of confusion in societies. In addition, the " Odendaal Plan " that was designed there after including other structural changes that came about because of such inconsiderate actions is what is today making people to mislead those ignorant members of the country. I did so much like the honesty of Com. Ya Toivo's narration of the portion of his experience at the time.I initially thought that our revolt, revolutions , rejection to enslavement, oppression amongst others was based on the need for truth, honesty, trust for peace. What is happening now are we reverting back to the philosophies of conquer and rule again? Black on blac... it will be a sad story to think of, more especially our children who find it hard already to get assistance with bursaries, jobs, funding for small innovations etc.
What is National Reconciliation? This does not mean war or opening of old wounds as per say but it means forgiving each other on issues or matters that happened during the war between the same people of the Namibian nation. National reconciliation should produce pure peace for all the Namibians.
I don't know why this man is not talking about okavango histry and zambezi, if we all know Rundu secondery school was built by white people in the 60's... our parents were cheap labors also and many of em were tortured and killed but he excluded the okavamgo and zambezi region. both of our parents fought for this country.. you need to be straight and fair
Ekandjo is a good oral history narrator, but he is indeed a selective narrator of history as Kavekotora pointed out. Ekandjo selectively narrates Namibian political history as he consistently leaves out the problematic history that he doesn't want to talk about even when he is reminded of what he is leaving out in his narration. That is just pathetic.
Those who was in the middle of the war , no matter which side are fit to talk about reconciliation but those who just woke up in an Independent Namibia shouldn't say anything, please. It was a war between SWAPO and Racist South Africa. Those who took side with South Africa remain enemies and they died and continue dying enemies. We the SWAP0 , WAR OF L8BERATIONS DO NOT NEED RECONCILIATION NOW..
THE HON. MEMBER NARRATED WELL. HOWEVER, HE FAILED TO NARRATE IT COMPREHENSIVELY. THIS DISQUALIFY THE FIRST PART OF HIS NARRATION. WE NEED TO BE HONEST WITH OURSELVES. TELL IT AS IT IS, THEN YOU CLEAR YOUR MIND AND THOSE LISTENING TO YOU. THE SPEAKER PLEASE ALLOW MEMBERS TO DEBATE ISSUES NOT TO SUIT YOUR INTEREST
Salute Hon. Ekandjo please put that history in books,You know it all .
Hon. Ekandjo knows the reality and truth of this country him and the Late Toivo. He should be highly recognized. He deserve it apart from all SWAPO members. I am so happy because he called "Katima Mulilo" also. This man is great, history cannot be buried in Africa no ways...

Some of these speakers are just wonderful. "I am here for all Namibians, especially the voiceless."
Kom Jerry, narrating the history plain diplomatically as a seasoned politician!
After 30 years of independence we as a nation still are not united at all, and people get angry when the previous presidents are named thugs. It goes to show that the current government has failed the nation bar from themselves. It's sad really sad😞
This was refreshing Hon. Ekandjo. Well done. I agree with you, we need to move forward.
Tate Ekandjo Is true, let us forgive ,leave the past and focus for the future.God forgive everthing already!
Honorable Jerry Ekandjo I salute you

Thank you teacher now we need our land back because we are free but we are staying in match box houses while our colonial masters are having huge houses with a yard big enough for a second house we want the same tipe of houses
OMG poor Hon. Speaker, he doesn't need such stress seriously
This is some deep history....
Opposition are representing their puppets not the whole Namibians
✋✋The history remains that " colonialism and it's different forms of brutality forced many Namibians into exile to become refugees." Not only SWAPO people. When ever you are talking about Namibia history, talk the history as it is.
Why is other political parties member's apart from swapo party not protected by the speaker .
Why rejecting the motion, we lost brothers, Sisters, Fathers, Uncle's during all our wars. What wounds will be open, the wounds are already opened the day the unjust was done
This man can't make any sense
Our reconciliation was a mess
The Chinese ARE not in the chamber...Silent majority!
History is life.
History is rigged.
Tate Ekandjo, keep up. We need the history .
Sam Nujoma also committed crime, that thug killed many namibian secretly they might not think we have forgotten that.... stupid distorted swapo history, on the kavango side David Lyangurungunda also fought against colonialism so why he is left out.......???

I never knew cde Ekandjo was this fierce
Let us hear the truth.
Some of this new mp don't have order at all.. Setting a bad examples.
German and South Africa rule found different tribes in South west Africa they were not united before colonial rule. Mr Jerry is lying. To have a power is ....
Thanks to Hon.Mike Kavekotora from RDP why's hiding some part of what happened in Angola but he's talking about reconciliation?
I really don't know why there is history of shark Island.
Always twisted history by swapo as it suits them. Seems they can't face the truth, ultimately it will someday catch up with them.
Emms

They must learn to speak Chinese very very very fast!!

Why did your government sell dordabis...? do we need the money more or land ..?
What is National Reconciliation? This does not mean war or opening of old wounds as per say but it means forgiving each other on issues or matters that happened during the war between the same people of the Namibian nation. National reconciliation should produce pure peace for all the Namibians.
but forgiveness starts with opening up, acknowledgement of misdeeds
The Speaker is too soft.
Who will give the true namibian history first...? I mean our namibian names in history'
Katjavivi is a swapo puppet
So the houses where also killed Cde?
Apparently they were fighting in damara land yet no damaras were affected. kak mahn. stop excluding the damaras . tel the history as it is.
