Hon. Ekandjo knows the reality and truth of this country him and the Late Toivo. He should be highly recognized. He deserve it apart from all SWAPO members. I am so happy because he called "Katima Mulilo" also. This man is great, history cannot be buried in Africa no ways...

The Namibia government cannot talk about reconciliation because we are not prepared yet. If this is true we should not have created The Ministry of Veteran Affairs that pay some individual groups. Why allowing some individuals to own lands in terms of grassing and own more buildings in expense of the masses. Is that reconciliation or exploitation? How would you create a reconciliation while you are creating a boundary between the rich and poor. We fought for this country in order to get access to land for our people to leave in. But as of today ONLY a few enjoy the wealth of this country suffocating the whole nation. Liberation is not about elevating national flag and singing national anthem but rather about having land for the citizens.

After 30 years of independence we as a nation still are not united at all, and people get angry when the previous presidents are named thugs. It goes to show that the current government has failed the nation bar from themselves. It's sad really sad😞

German and South Africa rule found different tribes in South west Africa they were not united before colonial rule. Mr Jerry is lying. There is no proof that they were united as Damara, Nama ,Herero Wambu, Kavango and Caprivian. Swapo initiate unity in the name of one Namibia one nation to convince United Nations. Before colonialism al tribes govern themselves and protect their territory.

    Emms
It is indeed frightening now to see that the tribalism being experienced at all fronts in our beloved country is supported by those who today could have in all respect rejected it. With this remark I mean to register my disappointment that the Namibian history is continuously being distorted. Any so called historian who does not recognize the habitation and movements patterns, as well as socio cultural heritage and activities of clans, tribal groups in a country cannot really be praised or hailed for presentations they make. In other words those are the most important and critical aspects in nation building efforts. It is in fact when these factors are suppressed, ridiculed, reduced to nothing of importance that is going to result in discontent and more so instability in nations. There is plenty of literature containing tangible information on wars that touched, affected and disoriented nations available. The Namibia history cannot be narrated like a poem without mentioning so called "police zones" that were introduced. This resulted in communities being up- rooted from their traditional roots which caused a lot of confusion in societies. In addition, the " Odendaal Plan " that was designed there after including other structural changes that came about because of such inconsiderate actions is what is today making people to mislead those ignorant members of the country. I did so much like the honesty of Com. Ya Toivo's narration of the portion of his experience at the time.I initially thought that our revolt, revolutions , rejection to enslavement, oppression amongst others was based on the need for truth, honesty, trust for peace. What is happening now are we reverting back to the philosophies of conquer and rule again? Black on blac... it will be a sad story to think of, more especially our children who find it hard already to get assistance with bursaries, jobs, funding for small innovations etc.

What is National Reconciliation? This does not mean war or opening of old wounds as per say but it means forgiving each other on issues or matters that happened during the war between the same people of the Namibian nation. National reconciliation should produce pure peace for all the Namibians.

Ekandjo is a good oral history narrator, but he is indeed a selective narrator of history as Kavekotora pointed out. Ekandjo selectively narrates Namibian political history as he consistently leaves out the problematic history that he doesn't want to talk about even when he is reminded of what he is leaving out in his narration. That is just pathetic.

It was a war between SWAPO and Racist South Africa. Those who took side with South Africa remain enemies and they died and continue dying enemies. We the SWAP0 , WAR OF L8BERATIONS DO NOT NEED RECONCILIATION NOW..
